Prince Louis may be one of the Royal Family’s biggest tennis fans, but the young prince will have to wait a little longer for his long-awaited Wimbledon debut.

For the second consecutive year, Prince William and Princess Catherine brought only Prince George and Princess Charlotte to Centre Court for the Gentlemen’s Singles Final, leaving eight-year-old Louis at home despite his growing enthusiasm for the sport.

As thousands of fans gathered to watch world No. 1 Jannik Sinner face Alexander Zverev in the Wimbledon men’s final, the Prince and Princess of Wales arrived with their two eldest children.

Prince George and Princess Charlotte once again took their seats alongside their parents in the prestigious Royal Box, continuing what has become a cherished family tradition.

Noticeably absent, however, was Prince Louis.

The youngest Wales child has yet to make his first appearance at Wimbledon despite regularly expressing his excitement about the famous tournament.

Kate Recently Revealed Louis’ Tennis Dream

Only a day earlier, Princess Catherine shared a sweet family story while speaking with Wimbledon staff.

During a behind-the-scenes visit, she revealed that Prince Louis had been asking how he could become one of Wimbledon’s famous ball boys.

The charming admission delighted tennis fans and highlighted Louis’ growing love of the sport.

Although he may have missed Centre Court once again, it’s clear the Championships remain one of his favorite events.

A Different Family Outing

While Louis was absent from Sunday’s final, he wasn’t entirely left out of the family’s weekend activities.

According to reports, Princess Catherine recently treated both Louis and Princess Charlotte to a private visit to the Royal Ballet School.

The outing reflected Charlotte’s well-known love of dance while giving the younger siblings time together away from the spotlight.

George and Charlotte Continue Royal Tradition

Inside Centre Court, Prince George and Princess Charlotte once again demonstrated their growing confidence at major royal engagements.

The siblings accompanied their parents as Catherine fulfilled one of her most recognizable duties as Patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club.

Following the match, the Princess of Wales presented the Gentlemen’s Singles Trophy to champion Jannik Sinner, continuing a Wimbledon tradition she has carried out for several years.

Louis’ Debut May Simply Be a Matter of Time

Although some royal observers have speculated that Louis’ energetic personality may make Wimbledon a challenging environment, the young prince has shown increasing composure during recent public appearances, including Trooping the Colour and other official family events.

Princess Catherine herself previously admitted that Louis was “very upset” about missing Wimbledon in 2023, suggesting just how much he hopes to attend one day.

With his growing interest in tennis—and even dreams of becoming a Wimbledon ball boy—many royal fans believe it may only be a matter of time before Prince Louis finally takes his seat in the Royal Box alongside the rest of his family.
