THREE people have been found dead inside a rural home in what deputies are investigating as a double murder-suicide.
The grim discovery was made Friday morning after officers were sent to the property for a welfare check and immediately noticed a strong smell of propane gas.

The deaths happened at a home on McCormick Road in the Town of Madison, New York, according to the Madison County Sheriff’s Office.
The first deputy to arrive could hear gas escaping from inside the house.
Before entering, the officer looked through a ground-floor window and spotted two adults lying inside.
Deputies then went into the property and discovered a third adult dead.

All three deaths are now being investigated as a double murder-suicide, the sheriff’s office said, Syracuse.com reported.
Authorities have not released the identities of any of the three people.
Their ages and relationships to one another also remain unknown.
Deputies have not publicly said which of the three they believe killed the other two before taking their own life.
Officials also have not disclosed how the victims died.
It was not immediately clear what role, if any, the escaping propane played in the deaths.
Authorities stressed that they believe the deaths were confined to the home.
“The incident is isolated and there is no danger to the public,” the sheriff’s office said.
