A 911 Call Reveals Chilling New Details in the Case of a Father Who Took His Own Life After Leaving His 2-Year-Old Daughter to D!:e in a Car in 42°C Heat
A NEWLY surfaced 911 call has revealed the moment a dad who left his daughter to die in a hot car while he watched porn is found dead by their nanny.
Christopher Scholtes, 38, took his own life in the garage of his £750,000 Arizona home in 2025 – a year after two-year-old Parker’s death.

The little girl died in the back of the family vehicle when Scholtes left her alone on the afternoon of July 9, 2024, as temperatures soared to 42C.
Scholtes took his own life by gassing himself with a car exhaust pipe the day he was set to attend his sentencing.
He faced up to 30 years behind bars.

His wife Erika found Parker in the car three hours after Scholtes left her there
She is heard saying: “He’s in our home garage. It’s suicide, it’s suicide.
“He’s not breathing, and I can’t find a pulse.”
The carer is then heard telling cops that smoke is coming out of the garage and into the property.
She continues in a panic: “I got them up to get the girls out, but they haven’t, like, gotten the girls out – like everything is kind of chaotic.”
The babysitter adds: “It [the garage] was locked and I had to get the keys to open the garage door and then I found him in there.
“He was supposed to… he had to surrender tomorrow.”
Scholtes, who had a habit of leaving his kids in the car, had pleaded guilty to second-degree murder one month earlier.
Authorities argued Scholtes had left Parker inside the family’s Acura in the driveway of their Marana home near Tucson.
He claimed to have left the toddler in the car at around 12:30pm for 30 minutes with the air conditioning on.
Scholtes claimed he did this as he didn’t want to wake her up from a nap.
Court records later revealed the girl had actually been left alone in the vehicle for over three hours.
He later admitted to knowing the car would automatically turn off its air-con within 30 minutes.
After leaving the car, Scholtes went inside his home to watch porn, play video games and drink beer.
Meanwhile, Parker was left roasting to death inside the car and wasn’t rescued until her mum returned home at around 4pm that day.
Bodycam footage from responding officers showed Scholtes plead with cops and claim he’d only left her outside for “no more than 30, 45 minutes”.
Police told Scholtes at the time: “She’s very hot right now. We’re going to do everything we can.”
Another one of his daughters told police: “My dad started screaming cause he walked outside and he saw that she was in the car still, her lips were purple and she wasn’t breathing.”
After she was found in the car, Parker was rushed to hospital but died within an hour.
A suicide note was left inside the home and Scholtes left a living will on top of the car in case he survived the suicide attempt disabled.
His other children from a previous marriage told cops he would often leave them in the car when they were young.
And Parker’s biological siblings also told police their father regularly left all three of them strapped in the car while he left to run errands.
Scholtes’ own texts with his wife revealed some of his habits.
His partner Erika said in one message after Parker’s death: “I told you to stop leaving them in the car.
“How many times have I told you?”
He responds: “Babe, I’m sorry. Babe, our family. How could I do this? I killed our baby, this can’t be real.”
Medical examiner Daniel Casa claimed Scholtes had begun making suicidal remarks following his daughter’s death.

She also catalogued Scholtes’ long list of health conditions, including depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder and ADHD.
