A two-meter fall tragically claims a life, and what police are investigating about the ‘Rhythm of the Wild’ rave music festival has left fans utterly stunned

A man has died after falling up to two metres from a stage at a “psychedelic” music festival near Gympie in Queensland.

Police say the 40-year-old was involved in a row with another man at the Rhythm of the Wild festival in the early hours of Saturday morning.

The death happened on the first night of the Rhythm of the Wild festival. 9News

Police were called about 1.20am following reports the Kallangur man had fallen up to two metres after a fight and died soon after.

A 33-year-old Burpengary man was taken to Gympie Hospital under police guard.

“An altercation has taken place on the stage at the rave concert and the deceased has fallen from the stage,” Detective Inspector Wade Lee.

Police swarmed the 68-hectare Glenwood property.

The farm stay, known as Hidden Camp, posted earlier in the week that it would be closed for a weekend of R&R with family and friends.

Police descended on the property in the early hours of Saturday morning. 9News

Police said more than 600 people had been at the ticketed event.

The three-day festival has been cancelled with questions about whether it had the correct permits and registration forming part of the police investigation.
