Shocking footage captured the moment an SUV allegedly ran over the 15-year-old.

A driver has fronted court accused of mowing down a teenage e-bike rider on Sydney’s Northern Beaches in an alleged road rage attack that was caught on camera.

David Wittig, 39, appeared in court on Wednesday charged driving furiously in a motor vehicle to cause bodily harm, negligent driving (no death or grievous bodily harm) and driving while licence application has been refused following the incident at North Curl Curl last month.

Dramatic footage shows an e-bike being crushed under the spinning wheels of an SUV, leaving the 15-year-old rider with serious leg injuries.

“Mate, you just ran over my f***ing mate, bro. What the f*** are you doing?” a teen can be heard saying in the footage.

The driver allegedly failed to stop, even when confronted by off-duty police officers who witnessed the incident.

“Get out of the way! It’s the police! It’s the police!” witnesses can be heard shouting in the footage.

Wittig’s car was seized after he presented to police around one hour after the crash.

When approached by media outside court on Wednesday, Wittig repeatedly responded “no comment” to questions about his driving that day and the allegations against him.

Police allege Wittig was involved in an argument with a group of teenagers on e-bikes prior to the incident. Words were exchanged and water bottles were thrown at each other before the car was followed and blocked at an intersection, where the teen was then allegedly run over.

Wittig is yet to enter a plea on any of the charges. He remains on bail until his next court appearance in June and has been banned from sitting in the driver’s seat of any vehicle.

The victim has since recovered from his injuries.
