However, a series of shocking testimonies from former palace staff and current U.S.-based team members are painting a vastly different portrait: that of a demanding boss, prone to “red carpet rage” and unreasonable demands in the middle of the night.

These latest revelations, gathered from members of what some are calling the ‘Sussex Survivors’ Club,’ have raised serious questions about the working environment at Archewell, the Sussexes’ media company, as well as her time at Kensington Palace.

 

‘Midnight Meltdowns’ and Unreasonable Demands

 

A former personal assistant, who requested anonymity for professional security reasons, described the workplace as an “emotional minefield.” This individual stated that the Duchess frequently sent urgent work requests via email at 1 AM or 2 AM. If staff were unable to respond or complete the tasks immediately, they would face an array of angry messages or calls the next morning.

“There were no boundaries whatsoever,” a former communications staffer shared. “She could ask you to completely re-strategize the media plan for an event just hours before it took place, and if you pushed back, she would become cold and make you feel utterly useless.”

According to an internal source, one of the most notorious “midnight meltdowns” occurred when Meghan demanded an employee locate a rare organic juice brand, which was out of stock in the area, simply because she wanted to drink it immediately. This request was made at 11 PM and allegedly came with a warning that failure to deliver was a sign of unprofessionalism.

 

Absolute Demands on the Red Carpet

 

In addition to the harshness behind the scenes, former employees also revealed instances of “red carpet rage.” This occurred when public events did not unfold according to the perfect script Meghan had envisioned.

“Everything had to be 100% flawless,” another source stated. “Just one bad camera angle, or if an event organizer failed to give her the attention commensurate with her Duchess status, she would erupt.”

During a major charity event in New York, Meghan was reportedly seen yelling at a staff member because her coat had a slight wrinkle due to the weather. The outburst didn’t cease until they returned to the hotel, causing intense stress and allegedly reducing some team members to tears.
