A two-year-old Belgian Malinois and her 11 puppies have all found their forever homes after capturing hearts on the new series of Pete Wicks: For Dogs’ Sake.
Viewers of the show’s latest episode watched Queen Bee’s story unfold after she arrived at Dogs Trust Basildon heavily pregnant and in poor condition, having been abandoned and likely used for breeding.
Despite her tough start, the resilient dog went on to deliver a healthy litter of 11 pups and receive months of training and care from the team to prepare her for adoption.
Staff at Dogs Trust spent time helping Queen Bee gain confidence and learn to trust people again, providing enrichment activities such as toys and snuffle mats to understand her behaviour and personality.
Their patience paid off — the once-nervous mum has since transformed into a sociable, happy dog with a loving new family.
Now renamed Nova, she continues to live up to her royal nickname.
Her new owner, Tyler Bethell, said: “She really is one in a million.
“Nova has settled in amazingly well and feels like she’s been here forever.
“She’s learnt so much and can do plenty of tricks, from sitting patiently at roads to barking on command.
“We couldn’t imagine life without her.”

One of Nova’s pups, Waffle (formerly Beetle), is also thriving in her new home.
Her adopter, Theresa Baker, described the young dog as “playful, affectionate and energetic”.
She added: adding: “Waffle has settled in so well and is growing fast.
“We have found rescuing a dog so rewarding and feel extremely lucky that we get to love her.”
Lisa Cooper, Rehoming Centre Manager at Dogs Trust Basildon, added: “We’re so happy to see all the dogs flourishing in their forever home, and their rehoming journey is an incredible reminder of the work our team does to help dogs find loving homes.”
Queen Bee’s full story can be seen in episode four of Pete Wicks: For Dogs’ Sake, available to stream now on U, or watch Mondays at 9pm on U&W.
