“Charlotte, particularly, is obsessed by Taylor Swift,” the royal dad revealed

Prince William shared a special shout out for Princess Charlotte while joining a U.K. radio show.

On Friday, May 22, the Prince of Wales, 43, requested a song for his 11-year-old daughter while appearing live on Heart Breakfast during his solo trip to the Isles of Scilly.

Cohost Jamie Theakston told William that they had been “raiding your playlist” and asked what he’d like to hear next, and the heir to the throne suggested, “How about some Taylor Swift?”

When asked to elaborate, William explained, “Charlotte, my daughter, and Louis, to be fair, but both Charlotte, particularly, is obsessed by Taylor Swift. We went to see her on her Eras Tour and it was amazing.”

Prince William and wife Kate Middleton are parents to Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 11, and Prince Louis, 8, and the royal dad took George and Charlotte to Swift’s Eras Tour show in London on his birthday in June 2024.

“It was at Wembley, so we had a box, so we were watching from up there, which is quite a long way from the actual action’s happening, but the atmosphere was so incredible,” Prince William recounted. “You could actually feel the floors shaking when they were all dancing, so it was brilliant.”

“This is for Charlotte, we know she’s listening in the car on the school run,” Thurston joked and played Swift’s hit “Opalite” from hr 2025 album, The Life of a Showgirl.

William and his elder two children even met Swift and her now-fiancé Travis Kelce backstage at the 2024 concert and beamed in selfies that the singer and William shared to social media.

The conversation then turned to Swift and Kelce’s highly anticipated wedding and Heart Breakfast cohost Amanda Holden asked their royal guest, “Have you got an invite?”

“No comment,” the Prince of Wales responded, which made her and Theakston gasp and laugh.

“I’m hoping and I’m sure there might be an invitation around, but we’ll see,” he said.

Prince William also spoke about his “amazing wife” Princess Kate during the rare, live media appearance, reflecting on her cancer recovery and recent trip to Italy for her early years work, which marked her first official overseas visit after navigating cancer.

“She’s an amazing mum, an amazing wife, and, literally, our family couldn’t cope with her, so, she’s been absolutely stunning, brilliant,” William said about his spouse.

The Prince of Wales joined Heart Breakfast from the Isles of Scilly during the second of his two-day trip to Duchy of Cornwall land holdings, a stay he made to highlight efforts addressing homelessness, support local communities and deliver affordable, sustainable housing to those in need.
