Emergency services arrived at the scene to find two cars had collided, with one towing a trailer.

Three people have died and two remain in hospital after a horror afternoon crash west of Launceston in Tasmania.
Tasmania Police say emergency services rushed to the scene at the Bass Highway, east of the Gannons Hill Road intersection, about 2pm on Friday.
A white Chery and a white Isuzu D-MAX towing a trailer had crashed, police say.

The two women in the Chery died at the scene while one man in the other car also was declared dead at the crash site.
Two other men in the Isuzu D-MAX were rushed to hospital in a critical condition with one flown to Royal Hobart Hospital and the other taken by ambulance to Launceston General Hospital.

The Bass Highway was closed for several hours while crash investigators combed the scene. It has since reopened but motorists are urged to take care.
Investigations are continuing.
