A MUM has died after being set on fire by a barbecue in a freak accident, as her terrified kids tried desperately to save her.
Charlotte Rose-Ann Hill, 38, was setting up a barbecue at her Sydney home to toast marshmallows when disaster struck.

The mum was suddenly engulfed in flames.
Her children Noah, 11, and Billie-Rose, seven, heard their mum’s screams and came running.
Charlotte’s daughter screamed loudly to get help, her cousin Bianca told news.com.au.
She said: “Thankfully her children were not harmed because they were in the backyard at the time.
“I’m actually extremely proud of the way that they handled the situation despite how traumatic it would have been for them.
“They were so brave and so heroic in those moments.”
Bianca added: “Her youngest daughter screamed.
“She screamed the loudest she has ever screamed in her life to alert their dad, who was getting ready to go to work.”

As Billie-Rose raised the alarm, her older brother Noah used his jacket to try and put out the fire on his mum.
The children’s dad rushed out, gave Charlotte first aid and rushed her to hospital.

Charlotte survived and was transferred to another hospital, where she had surgery.
She began to recover, speaking to her kids on the phone, when she was found unresponsive in hospital.
Her cousin Bianca said: “We’ll never hear her laugh again.
“We’re just so deeply heartbroken for her children.”
In a tragic twist, Charlotte had witnessed her own mum’s death as a child.
Bianca said: “She just never ever wanted her children to have to go through the same traumatic pain that loss brought her.”
The family has launched a GoFundMe to help pay for medical expenses and Charlotte’s funeral.
It said: “The greatest heartbreak is the two young children Charlotte adored beyond measure.
“No child should have to navigate the loss of their mother so young.
“While no amount of money can ever replace Charlotte’s love, warmth, or guidance, we hope this fundraiser can provide her children with the security and support she would have wanted for them.”
