The 35-year-old mum’s body was found inside a Perth home after her injured 12-year-old daughter fled on foot to call triple-0.
A 16-year-old boy has been charged with the murder of his mother, who was found dead in their Perth home on Tuesday morning
The 35-year-old woman’s body was found with suspected stab wounds in Bentley after a 12-year-old girl – the daughter of the woman – fled the house and called triple-0.
A 16-year-old boy, identified by police as the woman’s son, has since been taken into custody. He has since been charged with one count of murder and one count of attempted unlawfully to kill.
He will face a children’s court on Wednesday.

CCTV footage has revealed the moment the 12-year-old girl fled the home about 15 minutes before her mother’s body was found.
Seemingly wearing a dressing gown, the young girl ran 600m down Albany Highway into the neighbouring suburb of Cannington, where she called triple-0.
Detective Acting Inspector Jessica Securo said on Tuesday that the girl was found nearby with stab wounds and was in a serious condition.
“She was injured at the (Bentley) residence as well and she’s been able to flee that area and contact police,” she said.

The girl was taken to Perth Children’s Hospital, where she remains receiving treatment.
“We’re very thankful that members of the public did stop, assist the female and St John’s were called as soon as possible to provide the 12-year-old that lifesaving care that she needed.”
The 16-year-old boy, who was known to police, was found at the home when emergency services arrived at the property and was arrested at the scene.
It is believed the deceased woman and the two children lived together at the home.
“A 16-year-old male, who is the son of the deceased female and the brother of the injured girl, has been taken into police custody,” Detective Acting Inspector Securo said.

“While the investigation remains in its early stages, police are investigating this as a suspected family violence homicide and homicide squad have carriage.”
“This incident will have a significant impact on the family, friends and loved ones of all those involved, as well as the broader community,” she said.
“Recognising the confronting nature of this investigation, WA Police health and welfare support services are in place for all officers involved in the response.”
