The mother of missing Bristol student Jack O’Sullivan has spoken in support of Taylor Charlton’s friends and family and says the situation brings back ‘horrendous memories’ – but has warned of mistakes that ‘she is having to live with.’
Jack disappeared in the early hours of Saturday, March 2, 2024, following a night out in Hotwells, Bristol. Extensive searches were carried out, but no trace of Jack has been discovered since.
Jack’s family continue to hunt for answers more than two years later.
In a post to the Facebook group ‘Find Jack’, Catherine O’Sullivan, Jack’s mother posted a missing person poster of Taylor alongside an emotional message of support to Taylor’s friends and family.

She said: “We rarely post regarding other missing people but seeing how this situation has unfolded over the past few days it brings back all the horrendous memories (most of which we are still dealing with 26 months on).
“Please support the family of missing Taylor by raising as much awareness as possible.
“My family made the mistake of believing everything was being done to find Jack in the first few days and weeks – we were wrong and are having to live with the consequences.
“Don’t let this happen again to another family. I would urge the public to do things safely and not get in the way of the police but leave no stone unturned.
“Sending love, strength and prayers to all Taylor’s family and friends.”
