This “total masterpiece” detective drama has fans binge-watching in one day.

“One of the greatest shows” that’s been hyped up for its “flawless” casting has finally announced an important update.

Crime and mystery drama Sugar made its Apple TV debut two years ago with Irish legend Colin Farrell taking on the role of private investigator John Sugar.

The eight-part series saw Sugar become wrapped up in the disappearance of a famous film director’s granddaughter but it was the end’s huge twist that left subscribers wanting more.

And thankfully, they now have their wish as Sugar season two has been confirmed with Apple TV dropping not only the trailer but the drama’s return date.

The second outing of Sugar is going to premiere on Friday, June 19, with a single episode coming out weekly until the eighth and final instalment on Friday, August 7.

Sugar unexpectedly switched genres near the end of the drama as it was revealed that Sugar and his secret society, the Polyglots, were actually aliens sent to Earth to observe human behaviour.

The Polyglots’ covers were blown and were forced to leave Earth but Sugar decided he needed to stay behind to try and find his missing sister Djen.
