SHO-CK REUNION REVEAL! Farmer Wants A Wife 2026 Couples’ Secret Relationship Updates Finally Exposed

It’s been a dramatic season of Farmer Wants A Wife, and it’s finally come to an end.

Despite being the country’s most successful dating show, many fans have been watching on with cynicism this time round, as the once-wholesome format has been accused of being “scripted”, “tacky” and akin to Married At First Sight.

We’ve had major fights, several walk-outs, and even one return (hey, Ally), but if there’s one thing that will appease a frustrated bunch of reality TV viewers, it’s the potential for love.

So, now that the reunion has taken place and the farmers have spilled on whether they kept their relationship going when the cameras stopped rolling, the question now is: are they still together?

Farmer Dylan and Ally

Farmer Dylan and Ally’s romance was a whirlwind from the very beginning, with the pair experiencing everything from blindfolded chocolate eating to meeting the grandparents.

Even when Ally stormed off the farm and broke trust with the rodeo cowboy, he ultimately decided to take her back when she returned during the black tie event (much to the other girls’ dismay).

The pair shared a clear connection from the start, but since the show wrapped, we want to know if they’re still together.

Despite appearing very much loved-up and happy together at the reunion, Dylan has now confirmed to Woman’s Day that the young couple are no longer together — with the farmer admitting to Chattr that he “didn’t handle it too well”.

“I didn’t really communicate the best I should have,” he told the publication. “But yeah, I essentially just called it. She wanted to try and make it work, but I felt cruel [staying in the relationship] because I wasn’t willing to compromise.”

However, unlike Alex and Eddy (who at the reunion confirmed that they only lasted about a month after leaving the show), Dylan and Ally got a lot further, so much so that Ally was ready to move from her home in Maitland, NSW, to Dylan’s farm in South Australia.

In the end, Dylan made the “difficult” decision to break up with Ally as he felt he was making her chase a “dream that wasn’t hers”.

“When filming finished and we were back into normal life, I spent a lot of time thinking about what the next few years would look like and I had to be honest with myself,” Dylan told Woman’s Day. “I wasn’t willing to compromise on the goals and dreams that I’m chasing. And I couldn’t ask Ally to compromise on the future that she wanted.

“I didn’t think that was fair. Ally deserves someone who’s ready to build the sort of future she wants. Our lives were headed in different directions.”

Ally agreed with this sentiment, confirming that there are no hard feelings between the pair and that they’re still quite close friends.

Speaking to WHO, Scarlett — the other frontrunner from Farmer Dylan’s farm — confirmed that she’s also still close with the pair.

Farmer Jarrad and Brodie

Jarrad’s attraction to Brodie was evident from the start, even though Yvonne ultimately decided to walk away from the almond farmer and take his final decision away from him, he claims his heart was firmly set on Brodie.

However, in the lead-up to the reunion, New Idea released claims that the pair are no longer together, and even suggested that the farmer is back in touch with Kyiah Jones, one of the girls who didn’t make it back onto his farm.

While neither has posted since their final episode was aired on July 19, Brodie did post a photo of just the two of them at the black tie dinner — something that not all the contestants had done.

At the reunion, the pair sat on the couch opposite host Nat and gushed about their relationship. During the episode, which took place in January, Jarrad and Brodie confirmed that they were still together and expressed that they were happy and “taking it slow”.

Sadly, there aren’t many other clues online about the status of this pair after the reunion, so we’ll have to wait until new updates are leaked on social media.

Fingers crossed they’re still happily together!

Farmer Zac and Maya

After agonising over which girl to send home at each stage throughout the season, Zac finally decided he wanted 22-year-old Maya by his side — the medical receptionist from Melbourne.

The farmer said he couldn’t stop “smiling and giggling” when he was with her, and although he admitted to having more of an initial “spark” with Mieke, he chose Maya, saying he could see a future with her.

But are they still together after filming ended late last year?

At the reunion, the pair confirmed they were still together. Since the episode aired, New Idea published some adorable exclusive photos of the couple, hinting at an engagement on the horizon.

It turns out our sleuthing in the lead-up to Sunday night’s reunion episode wasn’t in vain!

From Zac’s sister Issy posting a now-deleted TikTok of her and Maya to Mieke (one of Zac’s other girls) admitting to WHO that Zac picked the right lady, all signs point to wedding bells, and we couldn’t be more excited for the couple.

Life for the couple now looks like video calling every day, as Maya has been living and working in Melbourne while Zac has remained on his apple orchard in Adelaide Hills.

Farmer Jason and Poppy

In a move that shocked many of us, Farmer Jason picked Poppy — the business development manager — over Logan.

The dairy farmer expressed that he wanted to find a stepmother for his children, and ideally someone open to having more kids with him, and despite Poppy expressing she wasn’t set on kids, his heart was firmly with her in the end.

So is the connection still as strong as it was?

During the reunion, the pair claimed they were still going strong and were grateful to live so close together to keep their relationship alive.

However, now that the episode has aired, Jason has come forward to confirm that Poppy ended their relationship only a week after the reunion.

“We flew back to Brisbane [after the reunion], and spent the night in Brisbane at a friend’s place,” Jason told Chattr. “Then I went back to where I lived and she went back to where she lived, and then, she went sort of quiet that week, then we split up.

“She called it off the following Saturday.”

The farmer then went on to confess that he felt Poppy had already made her mind up about their relationship before they met for the reunion, which makes a lot more sense after seeing their body language on the couch.

Sadly, the farmer revealed that he was “in love with her” and the breakup was “a bit of a shock”.

Her reason? She “wasn’t feeling it” – which, of course, isn’t a crime, but is never nice to hear from the other side.

“She just said, ‘It’s basically just a quick phone call, just letting you know you didn’t do anything wrong, you’re a good person. I’m just not feeling it,’” he explained to Chattr. “She seemed like she wanted to quickly have the phone call and get it over and done with, and then she said what she said, and I was in a little bit of shock at how she sort of came across, and then I didn’t really ask why.

“I just thought, ‘Oh well, I don’t want to force someone to like me, so I’ll just leave it at that. It was like a one-minute phone call.”

This is the second time the farmer applied for the show, and so we were holding our breath all season that he would find the one.

While there are never any regrets in trying, our thoughts go out to the heartbroken farmer as he continues to search for the one.

Farmer Alex and Eddy

Farmer Alex never shied away from making it incredibly obvious that Eddy was the woman for him, to the point that the other girls on his farm were left wondering if there was any point in them being there.

Unfortunately for the couple, a spoiler in the TV guide confirmed that they end up together – but hey, we always knew that this would be the case!

Speaking to WHO, Alex confided that he hadn’t ever planned on leaving early.

“Was there any point where I thought about leaving the experience with Eddy or anyone else? Like, I guess it’s sort of hard. I have a fairly active mind, and you know, a million things pass through my mind in one day, so look, probably at some point,” he explained.

“But ultimately I was having a really great time with the experience, and to be plain, I was really enjoying seeing the lads every week, you know?”

The mushroom farmer continued, “We get out to the Hunter Valley, and we hang out and do some weird event, and whatever. The whole thing was just wonderful, you know, like getting all these dates and going to beautiful places and sharing it with people that you’re trying to connect with.”

He finished by saying, “I certainly didn’t deny myself wanting to leave early, though.”

However, we are sad to report that it appears Alex and Eddy are no longer together!

Prior to the reunion, New Idea revealed that the pair quietly broke it off not long after filming wrapped at the end of last year.

During Sunday night’s reunion episode, Alex had a lot of unanswered questions for Eddy on the couch, asking her why she didn’t give them enough of a chance.

Speaking to WHO, Alex revealed why he went into the reunion with this “energy”.

“I think the experience was so intense,” he admitted. “We both, I thought, had a really good time together, and I watched it back and saw that in both of us.

“We were really connected while the cameras were rolling. Maybe when life hit again, Ed realised that there were some things she couldn’t compromise on – I don’t know – I even feel a little bit bad that I just said that about her because I can’t speak for it.”

Alex confessed that he was most hurt that they “didn’t get the opportunity to really debrief on it”.

“It just sort of ended, and that was why I went to the reunion with the energy I did,” he admitted. “I wasn’t so much lamenting over what we lost because we didn’t build anything after the experience – we didn’t get the opportunity to fall for each other. It just ended.”

While details on the timing of their breakup were a point of contention for the pair during the reunion — with Eddy saying they tried for a month after leaving the show, and Alex claiming it was only a couple of weeks — Eddy told WHO how and why the breakup went down.

“I think I realised pretty quickly after filming had ended that we weren’t compatible,” she confessed. “I think that Alex was very charming throughout the show, and maybe that kind of fogged my perspective on things.

“Then once things had stopped filming, I think I got to know the real Alex – not in any sort of negative way, but just maybe the less polished version of him – and I was kind of like, ‘Oh, this isn’t my person, and I don’t think that I’m his person either.’”

Eddy confessed that she has regrets about how she went about the breakup.

“I don’t know if I handled it the best way,” she said. “I was away for work at the time. I was away for weeks at a time – I was supposed to be only gone for two weeks, and I ended up having to stay for close to four weeks – and while I was away, once we had that break from each other, I was like, ‘I can’t do this anymore.’”

“This is not there in either of us. We shouldn’t be together. And I broke up with him over FaceTime, which I’m like, should I have waited until I got home?”

However, despite Eddy’s reservations and reports of Alex’s broken heart, Alex claimed that they “broke up on really good terms”.

“It was it was totally justified,” he said. “We had a fair conversation.”

The reunion took place in January, 2026, and Eddy confessed to having started a new relationship at that time as well.

After sources told New Idea before the reunion that she had moved on with an Aussie-based Frenchman, who goes by the name ‘Matthis’, the lawyer confirmed to WHO that she’s “dating somebody new now.”

“I’m very happy, and he’s definitely more like my kind of person, which is good,” she said.

“We met and started dating like end of January,” she added. “And then it was very much a slow burn. We just wanted to take it at our own pace, and that was such a breath of fresh air. There was no rush.

“There’s no one filming us 24/7, you know? We can just do it at our own speed, and that’s what we very much want to do.”
