Missing Mom Mystery Deepens: Police Reveal New CCTV Evidence While Jana Armstrong’s Family Pleads for Answers in Desperate Search
The family of a young mother who vanished from her Queensland home this week say she would never leave behind her four-month-old son as police release new CCTV in a desperate bid to find her.
Jana Armstrong, 30, was last seen at a property on Gordon Ave in Newtown, Toowoomba, on Tuesday afternoon.
Her white Hyundai Kona was found unlocked in the middle of the road at the corner of Gordon Ave and Jellicoe St about 6am on Wednesday.
As the search intensifies, Armstrong’s family told 7NEWS they believe she would never have left her four-month-old son.
“We strongly believe that it was a targeted event, not something (where) Jana’s just wandered off,” her brother, Sam Davison, said.

Her sister, Faith Isaacs, said there was no chance Armstrong had chosen to disappear.
“There’s no way she would do that. She wouldn’t leave her son,” she said.
“I just lost my daughter six weeks ago and they were supposed to be growing up together but now she’s not here and Jana’s not here.”
The baby is now being cared for by relatives as police continue to search for any trace of the missing mother.
The family told 7NEWS they wanted everyone to see Jana’s newborn son so the world will know how much she loves him.
Police on Friday released CCTV footage of Armstrong recorded on the day she disappeared.
She was last seen wearing a green and white striped Country Road shirt, jeans and thongs.

Investigators believe her white Hyundai Kona, registration 273ZHQ, travelled through several locations around Toowoomba on the evening of July 7.
7NEWS understands the vehicle had driven up and down her street almost 100 times in the days before she vanished.
Police are appealing for anyone with information, CCTV or dashcam footage of the vehicle to come forward, particularly from:
Tabletop Dr, Rangeville between 9pm and 10pm, July 7
Preston Rd, Preston about 10pm, July 7
Charker St, Darling Heights about 10.15pm, July 7
Gordon Ave, Newtown between 3am and 5am, July 8
Acting Detective Inspector Brian Collins said Armstrong’s disappearance was “very alarming”.
“We hope that Jana’s still alive, but like I say, we have serious concerns about her welfare at this point in time,” he said.
“It’s very alarming that a 30-year-old female with a four-month-old child disappears overnight.”

Armstrong had spent years caring for her deaf father, Ron, and her wheelchair-bound mother, Robin, before building a career in disability support.
Her family now fears the kindness that defined her life may have placed her in danger.
“She always put other people first before herself,” Isaacs said.
“We just want her home, whether or not she’s dead or alive.”
Investigations are ongoing and police are urging anyone with information to contact them.
