Love Island’s Olivia Bowen Reveals the £15,000 Wedding Splurge She Now Calls Her Biggest Regret Years After Marrying Alex
LOVE Island alum Olivia Bowen has revealed her whopping £15k regret from her “too expensive” wedding as she recalled her frivolous spending.
During a new interview, the mum-of-two opened up on what it was like raking in the cash at such a young age.

She admitted that her and her husband Alex, were “new money” after leaving the famous ITV2 dating show and were “stupid” with their cash.
The couple married in September 2018 just two years after they appeared on Love Island.
“Yeah I was really stupid. I think it was £15k in the end,” said a horrified Olivia.
While it was a huge Essex wedding, Olivia still couldn’t help but regret some of the crazy things they spent money on.
Olivia confessed: “At that point we were what you’d probably consider new money. We never experienced money before. To have Love Island change your life and then you earn this… you don’t know what to do with it and you’re a bit stupid.”
“We’re young. The flowers the wedding, it was all very dramatic. For two people that were 23… I had just gotten this bit of money and thought ‘Woooo let’s go spend it on a wedding.’”
She added: “Now I look back and I’m like I’ll never do that now. You’re lucky if I buy flowers from Tesco. We [her and Alex] very quickly learnt that’s not how to do things.”
TV stars Olivia and Alex, 34, have been open with fans about their careers after the show.
Over the past few years, the loved-up couple have created a property empire.
Olivia said on the podcast: “As we grew up a little bit, we had our little mad moment with money, we started investing in property.
“I don’t even recognise that girl like I would never be so frivolous.”
They own The Bowen Homes Ltd and since 2021 have continued to grow their property portfolio.
Olivia, 32, and Alex most recently showed off their luxe Spanish villa after considering whether or not to ditch the UK for abroad.
The couple share two kids – Sienna, 11 months and son Abel, three.
She recently confessed they would be renewing their vows in Italy within the next few years as it will be their 10-year anniversary,
Influencer Olivia and Alex met on series two of Love Island and came in second place behind Cara De La Hoyde and Nathan Massey – who are also still going strong.
