Love Island star Molly Smith has shared a startling behind-the-scenes account of her pre-wedding hen do in Ibiza, revealing that what was meant to be a glamorous celebration quickly descended into a nightmare when she and her bridesmaids checked into a hotel room bearing disturbing signs of a previous incident.

The 32-year-old blonde beauty, who is set to marry fiancé Tom Clare later this year, returned from the “wild” trip and opened up about the ordeal on her podcast NearlyWeds, which she co-hosts with Tom. While the getaway featured sun-soaked yacht days, elegant dinners, and stylish bridal moments, the experience was marred from the outset — starting with an uncomfortable flight and culminating in a deeply unsettling hotel stay.

Upon arriving at their Ibiza hotel, Molly, along with friends Hayley and Sophie, entered room 309 only to be greeted by a heavy musty odour. “We check into our hotel, we walk in… As we’re unpacking, we’re like ‘what is that smell?’ Honestly, it smelled like dust, like musty,” Molly recalled. One of her friends likened it to “someone wet the concrete and shut every window.”

The issues went far beyond an unpleasant smell. The group discovered moist bed sheets and, more alarmingly, what appeared to be bloodstains scattered around the room. “I’m telling you guys, I’m sure someone’s died in there. Also, bloodstains everywhere, right? Yeah, on the floor. Yeah, by the shower, there was a bloody fingerprint,” Molly and her friends described on the podcast.

The situation escalated when hotel staff later approached them by the pool to ask if everything was okay with their stay. When the group mentioned the concerning state of room 309, the staff’s reaction was telling. “They looked at each other and went, ohhh,” Molly recounted, suggesting the hotel was aware of prior issues in that specific room. Tom, listening to the story, chimed in: “Something went down in that room.”

The unsettling discovery came after an already tense journey. Molly revealed that her group had been heckled by a group of men on the flight who shouted insults, including one asking, “What are you off scrubbers Island?” Despite the rocky start, Molly remained determined not to let the incidents ruin the celebration.

Throughout the trip, the bride-to-be embraced the festivities in style. She showcased a striking bridal wardrobe, including a lacy white corset-style swimsuit embroidered with “Miss to Mrs” and a veil bearing the words “Mrs Clare.” The group enjoyed lavish yacht outings and beautiful dinners, moments Molly captured and shared on social media.
