BREAKING: Two Men Arrested After Terrifying Armed Home Invasion Leaves Adelaide Suburb in Lockdown 😱
Two men have been arrested over an allegedly armed home invasion south of Adelaide.
Christie Downs was locked down as the 23-year-old man and 31-year-old man were taken into custody on Tuesday evening.
They are expected to be charged on Wednesday with allegedly forcing entry to a home on Wheatsheaf Rd at Morphett Vale about 2.30am on Monday.
Gunshots rang out inside the home and a 40-year-old man was hospitalised with assault injuries during the ambush, SA Police allege.
As police were arriving to the Morphett Vale home on Monday, they spotted a black SUV and a black station wagon leaving the address.
Officers chased the station wagon, which was allegedly stolen from the home, to the intersection of Main South Rd and Flaxmill Rd where police called off the chase for safety reasons.
The allegedly stolen car has not yet been located.
Police said the two suspects arrested on Tuesday will be refused bail to appear in the Christies Beach Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
