🚨 “HE SPOKE JUST 8 WORDS ALL EPISODE!” Love Island Fans ERUPT as Viewers Demand Producers REMOVE the ‘Ghost’ Islander Who Barely Spoke a Word

Love Island viewers were left frustrated and vocal during Wednesday night’s episode, as contestant Sam delivered a near-silent performance that has sparked widespread calls for his removal from the villa.

The 65-minute episode gave Sam mere minutes of screen time, during which he uttered just eight words. Early in the show, he was briefly seen asking fellow islander Simba: “How are you feeling after last night Simba?” He later appeared sitting with the boys but was not shown speaking during the conversation.

The minimal presence of the islander, who is currently coupled up in a friendship pair with Mica following the cooling off of his connection with Namibia, left many fans questioning his continued place in the competition.

Social media erupted with criticism. One viewer simply tweeted, “Where’s Sam?” while another took to Reddit to declare: “Another episode down and Sam is still in my villa. GET HIM OUT!!”

Similar sentiments flooded X (formerly Twitter), with comments such as “Is Sam in this episode?”, “Hold on, Sam is still in the villa?? #Loveislanduk”, and “Genuinely what the f*** is Sam doing here still?”

Fans were quick to label him the episode’s “Ghost,” arguing that his lack of engagement and screen time suggested he was occupying a spot that could go to a more active participant.

The frustration was compounded by the episode’s focus on four new bombshells — dancer Halle, civil engineer Chidi, shot girl Tina, and builder Finley — who arrived to shake up the dynamics. The newcomers invited Kavan, Yasmin, Simba, and Mica for a night at a separate “sleepover villa,” significantly reducing screen time for several original islanders, including Namibia, Sean, Sam, Lola, and Aidan.

One viewer summed up the collective confusion: “Where’s Namibia, Sean, Sam, Lola, Aidan this episode? Are the main house using this time to catch up on sleep lol.”

Despite the limited overall visibility, the sleepover villa saw notable drama. Simba, who has been developing chemistry with Mica while maintaining a connection with Angelista back at the main villa, seized the opportunity to kiss Mica and brushed off flirting attempts from new bombshell Halle.

Sam’s current friendship coupling with Mica and the absence of any strong romantic connections have left fans wondering about his future in the villa, especially as the show continues to prioritize high-drama storylines.

The eight islanders who spent the night at the sleepover villa are set to return to the main house in Thursday night’s episode, where further recouplings and confrontations are expected.

As Love Island heats up, the growing chorus of “Get him out” chants directed at Sam highlights the audience’s demand for contestants who actively drive the drama — something the quiet islander has struggled to deliver in recent episodes.
