Prince Harry and Meghan Markle revealed their newborn son’s name just days after his birth in May 2019, with many royal fans eagerly awaiting details on the couple’s first child. Unlike many royal babies born before him, the couple opted for an adorable name that hadn’t been previously used within the Royal Family.

Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor is now aged six and, although born in the UK, he now resides in the US with his parents and his little sister, four-year-old Princess Lilibet. It has been widely believed that Harry wanted to name his son after a special person from his military career.

The 41-year-old served in the army with Major Tom Archer-Burton, who was often known by his nickname ‘Archie’.
