In just a matter of days, Peter Phillips and Harriet Sperling will be tying the knot as they exchange vows in front of their loved ones in a private ceremony.

The couple’s wedding will take place on Saturday June 6 at All Saints Church, Kemble, Cirencester, where many senior royals are expected to attend the happy occasion. The location of the wedding is special to both the bride and groom, as the church is located very close to where Harriet grew up. And for Peter, the town is just 20 minutes away from where his mother, Princess Anne, lives at Gatcombe Park.

The date for Peter and Harriet’s wedding was confirmed in April, as a statement issued by their spokesman said: “Mr Peter Phillips, the son of HRH The Princess Royal and Captain Mark Phillips and Ms Harriet Sperling, daughter of the late Mr Rupert Sanders and Mrs Mary Sanders of Gloucestershire, have today announced their wedding date.

“The summer wedding will take place at All Saints Church, Kemble, Cirencester on Saturday 6th June 2026 in a private ceremony. Both families have been informed jointly of the wedding date by invitation. Their Majesties The King and Queen, The Prince and Princess of Wales have also been informed of the announcement. Further details will be announced in due course.”

It is believed that the King and Queen, Prince William and Princess Kate, and the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh will all be in attendance alongside Princess Anne and Zara Tindall. Peter’s daughters from his first marriage, Savannah and Isla, along with Harriet’s daughter from her previous relationship, Georgina are also expected to be part of the ceremony.

Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie have reportedly been invited to the wedding, but their attendance has not been confirmed. While many members of the Royal Family are expected to be at the happy event, it has been said that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were not invited.

Former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond believes there is one major reason why the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have not been included in the guest list: to not draw attention away from the happy occasion.

Jennie told the Mirror: “Wedding guest lists are so often a nightmare! Who to include, who to leave out? Who will be offended? And the biggest no-no is to take attention away from the bride on her big day.”

The royal expert continued: “I think Harry will understand, but he used to be close to his cousin, Peter, and it’s only natural that he will feel rather excluded on such a big occasion. It’s a sad situation, but until or unless the rift is mended, Harry is likely to find himself left out of any big family gathering.”
