EXCLUSIVE DRAMA: The Unaired Farmer Wants A Wife Conversation That Completely Shattered Dylan’s Reputation
Farmer Dylan tells WHO that there’s a lot we didn’t see from the footy episode.

Farmer Wants A Wife fans were left divided this week when Farmer Dylan had such a strong reaction to Ally, Lily and Scarlett not joining him and Renae on the footy field during a friendly match against Farmer Zac’s girls and some of the farmers’ friends on Tuesday night’s episode.
All of Zac’s ladies were happy to play, but Lily explained she’d already had four knee reconstructions, so she would sit this one out.
Speaking to the cameras, Dylan said, “Renae was the only one who stepped up to the table. It was disappointing that the other girls didn’t.”
“I’ve been telling my mates that I’ve got a real good group of girls and they’re really keen to meet you all and my mates are keen to play footy with them. The fact they now don’t really get to meet them is really disappointing.”
Dylan admitted he found the whole situation to be “embarrassing”, adding that he wasn’t happy to see the three girls in the crowd and not on the field with him.
“I don’t care if you’re playing footy or not, but I came on here to find someone that is supportive and if you can’t support me with something as little as this… It’s a bit annoying.”
Dylan raised the situation with the girls later in the evening, and the women were so surprised that they initially laughed it off.
But upon realising he was being serious, they apologised.
“Just because someone doesn’t do an activity doesn’t mean their feelings for you are any less,” Lily told him, saying he should share his frustrations in the moment, rather than hold onto them.

In a one-on-one with Ally, she told him that it would be the same if she asked him to a dance class and he didn’t join in, but he responded by saying he wouldn’t care if he “looked like a total spud”, he would still do the class to back her up.
“Today, I just think I felt… belittled,” Dylan told her.
The farmer added later, “I guess going forward, I have to see if Ally is going to put me as a priority and if she doesn’t then that will weigh heavily on my decision going forward.”
Dylan reveals he was ‘rattled’ by footy episode
Speaking to WHO, Dylan shared that he was surprised to watch the episode on Tuesday, saying, “I was a bit like, ‘Hold on, that makes me look like a sook!’”
Referencing some of the comments on social media, he added, “I’m not going to lie, I watched it and I was a bit rattled. I look like a proper sook. But the thing is, is that people aren’t looking at it like it’s a support thing, they’re going, ‘Oh, he’s sooking over a football game.’”
Dylan explained that a lot of what happened didn’t make the cut for the final episode.
“There were a few things that didn’t make it [to air] during Ally and my conversation. When I was telling her how I felt, she was asking for more reassurance, and our conversation didn’t really go anywhere, because it’s like, ‘Hold on, I’m telling you how I feel… and you’re asking me to give you more reassurance?’ It just didn’t make a lot of sense.”
He shared that because viewers didn’t see the whole conversation, he’s copping so much flak: “It’s one of those things, like if people knew what I meant, it might make more sense, but it is what it is.”

Dylan also responded to viewers, saying he was drunk, saying, “Everyone says I’m drunk, but I don’t drink.”
“As the show goes on, my eyes do look baggy and whatnot, and I just want people to know that I don’t drink often, and I’m not a drunkard!
“My eyes get visibly tired,” he added, joking that sometimes it looks like “I’ve gone through hell, but I haven’t gone through hell, I’m just knackered”.
The farmer added that he loved what he saw from Renae at the game, which was that she was willing to “give anything a crack”, and he found that very important, as someone who grew up being told it’s important to get out of your comfort zone.
“That’s something that I went in [to the show] looking for in a partner,” he explained.
Dylan also explained that he understood why Lily didn’t want to play, but Scarlett’s reasoning at the time was that she didn’t want to get dirty; meanwhile, she was happy to “throw a hand up” and jump in with the sheep when they were working on the farm.
“Maybe if it wasn’t filmed they might have done it,” he quipped.
Viewers respond to Dylan’s ‘sulky’ response to the footy match
Fans were firmly divided on Dylan’s response to the situation, with one fan saying they were surprised to see him get “sulky” over the footy match, adding, “Seeing another side of him tonight.”
Another said he needed to “grow up and stop sulking”.

A third went so far as to call his response a “red flag”, adding, “The girls didn’t have to join in the game but they supported from the sidelines….definitely seen a different side to him tonight.”
“Should stop complaining to the girls about not playing footy with him, and actually pay attention to the one who did!” someone else pointed out.
Others backed Dylan up, with one person writing, “Why could they have not supported him and joined in!! Very disappointing for him!”
“To live on a farm, you need to be part of the community,” another agreed. “Everyone relies on each other.”
“If I was him and was hyping up these women to meet my mates and they couldn’t even get involved in a little game off footy I’d be a bit embarrassed and disappointed too, like it was just to have fun have some fun,” wrote a third.
