While the date has not been officially announced for Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s move to the Sandringham Estate in Norfolk, preparations are thought to be well under way. It has been reported that the disgraced royal will move to Marsh Farm near the village of Wolferton once the much-needed repairs have been completed.

It has been widely reported that the empty property will become Andrew’s new home after new ‘no-fly’ regulations were extended to cover the property. Despite this, the palace has said that they will not be providing the name of his new home as the King’s brother is a “private citizen” and Sandringham is a “private estate”.
Andrew does not have to vacate his current Royal Lodge home until October 2026, but it has been reported that progress with the move is being made.

The Sun on Sunday reported that some of Andrew’s belongings have already been removed from Royal Lodge and placed in storage.
Speaking about why details of Andrew’s new home will not be publicly confirmed, a palace source told the paper: “There are GDPR and rights of privacy involved, so we will not be providing the name of the property. There are also security issues that are of relevance.”
Marsh Farm is currently unoccupied and unfurnished. It features two reception rooms and a kitchen, and the property also includes several outbuildings.

Another property that was reported to be a possibility for Andrew was nearby Wood Farm. A favourite home of Queen Elizabeth II, Wood Farm is where Prince Philip spent most of his time after his retirement from royal duties in 2017.
