Searching 1000 mine shafts and draining 3 dams: Search for missing 41-year-old mother in South Australia concludes
The search for Trisha Graf, the 41-year-old woman who vanished under mysterious circumstances, has just concluded a major phase with no expected results. Elite units from the South Australia Major Crime squad, along with support from the STAR Group, Mounted Operations, and SES volunteers, have completed a massive sweep in Andamooka, a town over 500km from Adelaide.
According to reports from authorities, this latest effort focused on “searching and clearing a total of 1000 mines as well as draining and clearing three dams.” While this large-scale search failed to uncover any evidence linked to Trisha’s disappearance, police confirmed they have not ruled out the possibility of returning to the area in the future.
Timeline of the Final Hours

Information from the police indicates that Trisha Graf was last sighted at the Roxby Downs Hotel at 12:19 am on Friday, December 12, 2025. Shortly thereafter, she left in a white 2012 Ford Territory (SA registration S254BCX) with a friend, traveling toward Andamooka.
During the journey, Trisha reportedly collided with a kangaroo just outside the township but continued into Andamooka, where she and her friend visited a home in the north-west of the town. She was last seen on Dunstan Drive just before 2:00 am that same day.
By midday, her partner and a friend discovered her Ford Territory “perched on a dirt mound” near the Blue Dam, located east of Andamooka.
Relentless Search Efforts
Before the aforementioned sweep of 1,000 mine shafts, initial ground and aerial searches conducted by police, SES rescue teams, and local community members failed to locate any trace of the victim. Numerous other units, including Far North police, Port Augusta officers, Missing Persons investigators, and PolAir, have also participated in the search but remained unsuccessful.
Currently, police have expressed grave concerns for Trisha Graf’s welfare due to the significant amount of time that has passed since she went missing. Investigators continue to urge anyone with information regarding her movements or whereabouts to contact the police immediately.
