Netflix has confirmed a second feature film starring iconic British star Idris Elba as John Luther.
Originally released from 2010-2019 on the BBC, the thrilling psychological crime drama follows a troubled homicide detective who becomes entangled with the enigmatic murderer Alice Morgan (played by Ruth Wilson).
The first feature film, Luther: The Fallen Son, introduced newcomers Cynthia Erivo and Andy Serkis and saw Luther investigating a wealthy serial killer lurking among London’s elite.
Its highly anticipated follow-up is confirmed to bring back Wilson in her iconic role as Luther’s nemesis, as well as co-star Dermot Crowley as his former boss Martin Schenk.
Director Jamie Payne will also return, along with screenwriter and creator Neil Cross.
