Chilling Triple-0 Call Played in Court as Tobias Nuttall Jailed for Mu-rder of Partner Alisha Lauren Hendren-Krippner

An occultist podcaster who murdered his partner during a domestic violence attack has been jailed for life.

Tobias Marcus Nuttall, 33, learned his fate on Thursday, having previously pleaded guilty over the stabbing death of Alisha Lauren Hendren-Krippner, 30, at home in Bassendean, Perth on August 20.

There were tears from family and friends of the victim who had packed the courtroom to see her killer face justice.

Hendren-Krippner was stabbed at least nine times less than 30 minutes after the couple had returned home from a trip to Sydney.

The victim was rushed to Royal Perth Hospital but could not be saved and died the same day.

The court was told the pair had consumed drugs the night before, and Nuttall said to doctors he was coming down from meth.

Nuttall calmly described his brutal crime to the emergency operator minutes after killing his partner with the call played to the court.

“I need you. I’ve been stabbed twice in the back. Mine are non-fatal. I suspect that hers are fatal,” Nuttall told the operator in the disturbing call.

When asked to clarify, Nuttall responded: “I have turned to defend myself, and I suspect I may have taken her life. It’s a mess. It’s an absolute mess.”

In a victim impact statement, Hendren-Krippner’s father said he would be haunted by the day he received the call about the attack for the rest of his life.

Nuttall maintained Hendren-Krippner had reached for the knife first but admitted tackling her to the ground and killing her.

The Supreme Court judge rejected his victim blaming, calling Nuttall’s offending “vicious, uncontrolled, and completely disproportionate.”

He pleaded guilty to murder in March.

Nuttall is a former co-host of a podcast called WakingWorld, discussing the “occult, magic, spirituality, and everything clandestine”.

Hendren-Krippner had appeared on the show just weeks before her death.

He has been jailed for life with a non-parole period of 18 years.
