A pest control van has been pictured at Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s new home in Sandringham today. The Command Pest Control van was spotted at Marsh Farm, on the King’s Sandringham Estate, though it is not known why the company were visiting the property.
The company deals with removing unwanted rats, mice, squirrels and wasp nests. Tenants in King Charles’s properties on the Sandringham estate are not allowed to keep cats, which means that rodents are common in the area.
Andrew is due to move out of his lavish mansion, Royal Lodge, at the end of the month, with removal vans already starting to move his belongings out of the Windsor home.
The company, which has a Royal Warrant and works across the East of England, says it carries out “rodent control” and “insect control”.
It comes two years after rats invaded the village of Flitcham on the estate, two miles from the King’s residence, Sandringham House.
At the time, villagers contacted the Monarch for help in dealing with the rat problem after the issue was raised by a resident at the local parish council meeting.
The Royal Family has previously struggled to get rid of rats in Buckingham Palace since Queen Victoria’s reign, and in 2019, Queen Elizabeth II was forced to hire exterminators to get rid of the vermin.

It comes as large vans have been seen ferrying some of the former prince’s vast stash of possessions to the property, although some insiders have suggested that a good deal of the “natural hoarder’s” belongings will have to be placed into long-term storage.

One royal source told the Daily Mail: “A lorry has been and gone under the cover of darkness. Andrew is going to a shoebox-sized house, compared to Royal Lodge, so a lot of the things that were taken are going into a storage unit.”
Marsh Farm, which is is owned by the King via the Sandringham Estate has stood empty for several years, since the death of the last tenant farmer, and is currently undergoing extensive renovations for Andrew to move in.
