Netflix viewers are hooked on Dan Levy’s new comedy thriller, Big Mistakes – and it might just be the perfect weekend TV binge.
The highly anticipated crime series marks Dan’s first sitcom since the end of the Emmy-winning comedy Schitt’s Creek, which he co-created and starred in with his father, Eugene Levy.

The story follows two “deeply incapable” siblings, church pastor Nicky and school teacher Morgan, who are dragged into the world of organised crime after Morgan steals a necklace from a store, intending it to be a gift for their dying grandmother.

One viewer penned: “OMG? The twist!?!?? The whole show was a JOURNEY I LOVE IT,” while another added: “The gasp I just gasped… episode eight!”

The Hollywood Reporter said the series “offers plenty of mayhem but too little logic or heart,” while Variety described the series as an “absolutely unhinged crime comedy,” adding that the “cumbersome plot dulls the comedic beats”.
Meanwhile, The Guardian handed out three stars and praised Dan Levy and the ensemble cast’s performances, adding: “Big Mistakes is far from a major error, but it isn’t quite a triumph either.”
