Prince Edward works alongside Beatrice with the charity
An organisation where Princess Beatrice serves as a patron has scrambled to issue a statement after her father, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, was arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office.
Educational charity, The Outward Bound Trust, appointed Beatrice, 37, as Deputy Patron in November 2025, having served as a trustee for six years.
The charity wrote: “Princess Beatrice is involved with Outward Bound in her honorary role as deputy patron.
“Her role is focused on supporting our work to inspire young people to realise their potential through learning and adventure in the outdoors.”

Prince Edward also does work with the charity, serving as the Royal Patron of Outward Bound.
He continues on from his late father’s long-standing support for the charity’s aim of inspiring people through adventure in the wild.
Beatrice was last pictured horse riding with her father and her daughter, Sienna, in January.
The 37-year-old is said to be “heartbroken”, as is her sister, Princess Eugenie, with the recent developments surrounding Andrew.

The sisters have not commented since the former Duke of York was arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office, with only Eugenie being seen on a half-term ski break in the exclusive Swiss resort of Gstaad.
Beatrice and Eugenie have maintained their relationships with Andrew and Sarah Ferguson during the release of the Epstein files.
But the pair are said to be trying to avoid the situation their parents find themselves in.
“They have young children, and this is their grandfather – their focus is on protecting their own children from this,” a source told People.

The source continued: “They’re also putting pieces of the puzzle together in real time and realising they may have been used.
“That has to feel like a complete betrayal. They’re heartbroken – but a dad is still your dad, and a mum is still your mum. Love for a parent isn’t a light switch.
“It’s an incredibly painful and introspective moment for them.”
Their father was arrested on Thursday morning and taken into custody on suspicion of misconduct in public office.

The allegations centre on claims he passed on confidential information whilst serving as a UK trade envoy.
