Leonid Radvinsky, the billionaire owner of adult content site OnlyFans, has died aged 43.

Mr Radvinsky is widely regarded in the adult content industry as a pioneer whose management of OnlyFans redefined how performers could monetise content in the modern age.

A spokesperson confirmed that Mr Radvinsky had died after a long battle with cancer.

“We are deeply saddened to announce the death of Leo Radvinsky,” an OnlyFans spokesperson said in a statement to Variety.

“Leo passed away peacefully after a long battle with cancer. His family have requested privacy at this difficult time.”

Born in Ukraine before moving to the US, Mr Radvinsky acquired OnlyFans from its two founding owners in 2018 through a 75 per cent stake purchase of parent company Fenix International Limited.

That well-timed move meant Mr Radvinsky was in prime position to reap rewards from the adult content site, which exploded in popularity during the COVID-19 pandemic.

OnlyFans is more than an adult content site, despite that being the company’s largest revenue category.

Users can upload video or image content, including for other categories like fitness or cooking, making that material available for fans for a price.

OnlyFans collects 20 per cent of any money spent on the platform.

In 2023, OnlyFans said the site had 305 million users. In that year, the platform paid creators $US6.6 billion ($9.41 billion).

Reports suggested in 2025 Mr Radvinsky was looking at selling off OnlyFans for $US8 billion, a move that did not eventuate.
