Titus Welliver’s gritty return to crime dramas is revealed in the first look at Dark Winds season 4. Welliver has kept busy since the ending of Bosch: Legacy in April. He reprised his role as Harry Bosch in a recurring capacity for the spinoff Ballard. He’ll also star in The Westies, an MGM+ drama about the Irish gang of the same name.

Welliver will first make a stop at Dark Winds season 4, bringing his veteran on-screen presence to AMC’s Graham Roland-created adaptation. Debuting in June 2022, with George R. R. Martin and the late Robert Redford as executive producers, the series is based on the Leaphorn & Chee books by Tony Hillerman. It centers on Lt. Joe Leaphorn and Jim Chee, played by Zahn McClarnon and Kiowa Gordon, respectively, with Jessica Matten co-leading as Bernadette Manuelito.

A new video from the set of the AMC show offers the first look at Welliver in the role of the antagonistic Dominic McNair. The brief clip highlights McClarnon, Gordon, and Matten teasing the intense scenes in the episodes to come. Welliver agrees in a preview for Dark Winds season 4, which will premiere on Sunday, Feb. 15 at 9 PM on AMC and AMC+. Check out the clip below:

After the impactful Dark Winds season 3 ending, the upcoming episodes will revolve around the search for a missing Navajo girl. It’ll take Leaphorn, Chee, and Manuelito from the familiar surroundings of the Navajo Nation to the harsher terrain of 1970s Los Angeles as they go on a dangerous mission to save the girl from an obsessive killer with ties to organized crime. It’ll be showrun once again by John Wirth.
