Savannah Guthrie’s husband breaks silence on missing mother-in-law Nancy

Savannah Guthrie’s husband, Michael Feldman, has broken his silence on the disappearance of his mother-in-law, Nancy Guthrie.

Feldman, 57, exclusively told Page Six on Tuesday morning that he doesn’t “have anything new to report” in the desperate search for Nancy.

The public relations and communications consultant added that he’s “just being responsive” but feels “mostly unhelpful” in the gut-wrenching situation.

However, Feldman expressed appreciation for the media’s “thoughtfulness.”

Nancy, who lives alone in the Catalina Foothills neighborhood of Tucson, Ariz., has not been seen since Saturday night

Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos said the 84-year-old went to dinner with family members, including daughter Annie Guthrie, and was brought back to her house at around 9:30 or 9:45 p.m.

Nanos told Us Weekly that Annie, 56, didn’t notice any “red flags” about her mom’s behavior throughout the evening.

At around 11 the next morning, a parishioner at Nancy’s church called her family to let them know that she did not attend that morning’s service, which was unusual, Nanos explained during a press conference.

The family then went to Nancy’s house to look for her and called 911 at around 12:15 p.m.

“This is an 84-year-old lady who is safe in her own home, asleep, and she is taken. That should never happen,” Nanos told Us Weekly, adding that Savannah did not “raise any concerns” about her mom’s health prior to her disappearance.

She has “physical ailments” and mobility issues that prevent her from walking more than 50 yards by herself, according to her family, but she is “of great sound mind” and “sharp as a tack,” so it’s unlikely that she “just wandered off.”

However, Nancy takes daily medication that can lead to fatal consequences if missed. Notably, the medication — along with her cellphone, wallet, keys and car — were all left behind.

Upon searching the home, Nanos said it became apparent to investigators that they were looking at a crime scene. Nanos called the findings “very concerning” and “suspicious in nature,” adding that they believe Nancy was “abducted” and “harmed” in the process.

While he did not elaborate on the nature of the potential injuries, law enforcement sources told the Los Angeles Times that blood was found in the home, though it’s unclear whose it is, and there were signs of forced entry.

Nanos also told CNN that there has been no indication that this is a ransom situation, but he made sure to note that investigators will “never rule it out.”

Savannah, 54, was absent from Monday and Tuesday’s “Today” show episodes to be with her family and help look for her mom. She sent in a statement that was read aloud, thanking everyone for their thoughts, prayers and support.
