Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were brutally savaged by some fans who accused them of staging a “sad PR photo-op” during their latest appearance in California. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex attended the 75th NBA All-Star Game at Intuit Dome, an indoor arena in California’s Inglewood, on Sunday.

Harry and Meghan were seated next to Queen Latifah and her partner, Eboni Nichols. The Sussex couple were snapped cosying up as they watched the basketball game and cheered.

However, some fans blasted the couple for orchestrating a “staged photo op”.

One user wrote on X after sharing a video of their appearance: “When the entire outing was one big staged PR photo op. Arrived, grabbed the viral courtside snaps, then vanished quicker than a f**t. Photo op complete, mission accomplished, see ya!”

Another one agreed: “Seated right next to **Queen** Latifa. Real subtle, Sunshine Sachs. Made sure to get ‘Markle’ & ‘Queen’ in the search engines and algorithm in a 10 minute photo op. It’s all so predictable & sad & tiresome.”

A third one commented: “Wait a second… they went there, sat down for a few minutes, had pictures and videos taken, and then they walked out asks left!? WT* is that!?!?”

A fourth one said: “They want privacy though, they don’t like the press, they write horrible things, they don’t want handouts, they want to earn their own money, they want to be normal ppl – yeah right, b* to the pair of them.”

Finally, a fifth one blasted: “They are ridiculous!”

However, others defended the Sussex couple and dismissed claims that they left mid-game, with one user in particular writing: “I saw the game. They were there till the end. Stop writing [p** emoji]”.
