I’m A Celeb fans claimed Ruby Wax had let the power ‘go to her head’ after she was became the camp’s new leader on Sunday.
The comedian, 72, replaced EastEnders Shona McGarty after she was booted out for breaking contraband rules and using smuggled butter in the cooking.
Despite Ruby complaining about the soap star taking her role too seriously and making herself a crown from jungle woodland, it didn’t take long for her to then do exactly the same.
Viewers declared the the funny woman ‘unbearable’ after she constructed herself a dramatic veil and strutted around camp.
Taking to X they said: ‘Ruby was unbearable now they’ve made her camp leader and she’s worse than unbearable I can’t stand her’: ‘Ruby is so much worse than Shona with letting her being leader and it going to her head’.
‘So, Ruby has a go at Shona for her making an outfit when she was a leader and how she thought the power was going to her head, and now she’s doing the same???’: ‘Ok Ruby as camp leader was an absolutely horrific choice’.

Later in the episode fans were left ‘devastated’ after Eddie Kadi become the second contestant to be voted out of the jungle.
The funnyman, 42, found himself in the bottom two alongside model Vogue Williams, before hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly announced it was he who had received the fewest votes and would be leaving camp.
Fans were gutted by the decision, claiming Eddie was one of the most ‘underrated’ campmates and Vogue or Kelly Brook should have received the boot instead.
Eddie, who was second to leave after Lioness Alex Scott, said his farewells before sitting down for his exit interview where he reflected on his jungle experience, telling the hosts how it had ‘changed his life’.
He said: ‘I feel like I’ve been in there a year, it’s literally changed my life. Coming from Congo, where we have a massive rainforest,’
‘I feel like I’ve had a taste of what my grandparents experienced, and I realise now why they were so humble. They were joyful regardless of any situation. Even when you’ve got no food, it goes to show that we are enough as human people’.
Taking to X, fans said: ‘Eddie was the most underrated Campmate Seems like such a lovely guy’: ‘I’m so surprised that Kelly is still there! Eddie didn’t deserve to go yet, so annoyed’: ‘Eddie shouldn’t have gone it should have been the Dullard Vogue’.
‘Kelly Brook was annoying me that much I’ve stopped watching, but what do you mean Eddie is out?!?’: ‘Noooooooo – man, what is it with the British people and votes?! Absolutely love Eddie… He didn’t get a fair edit in my opinion’.

The show opened with Shona and Lisa’s first morning as camp leader and deputy and they both woke up well rested from a great night’s sleep in the comfort of the treehouse.
Eddie was in charge of the rice that morning, having been appointed cooking duty by Shona and Lisa the night before.
He admitted to Tom about the new responsibility, he was ‘nervous, because I live by myself. When you’re cooking for you, there’s no one to judge.’
Eddie headed down to take a shower, with the rice cooking away on the fire. He told the Bush Telegraph: ‘Breakfast is going well, the rice is nearly done. Myself and Ruby have got this under control.’
However, it appeared the camp had other ideas on Eddie’s cooking ability as Kelly could smell burning…
Kelly told the Bush Telegraph: ‘He made the colossal error of putting the rice on and going for a shower. I watched him do it, I didn’t wanna say anything because I can’t get involved, I have a feeling this morning it’s gonna be a little bit crispy!’

And it appeared Ruby also had something to say about Vogue tending to the fire as she whispered to Ginge: ‘She just destroyed it, she doesn’t know what she’s doing.’
As Vogue quipped back: ‘Are you two b****hing about me?’ As they giggled and Ginge whispered back to Ruby ‘absolutely clueless.’
As the burnt rice was served for breakfast, everyone was less than impressed.
Jack joked: ‘It’s Eddie’s first race, so he’s warming up to it.’
