The Warner Bros. TV licensing vault has swung open once again, and we’re getting another of the most popular Chuck Lorre sitcoms of the 2010s added to Netflix for the very first time. Netflix today confirmed the complete series of Mike & Molly is set to arrive on the platform next month, but only in the United States for now.
This addition follows a string of successful licensing deals between Netflix and WBD that have already brought hits like Young Sheldon, Mom, and Two and a Half Men to the service. Of course, Netflix itself is working with Chuck Lorre on the series Leanne (season 2 now in production), with prior projects including The Kominsky Method and Disjointed.
After leaving HBO Max last month, the series has been unavailable to stream, but thankfully, its hiatus will be short.
All 6 seasons (127 episodes) of Mike & Molly will be available to stream on Netflix US starting Friday, February 20th, 2026. We don’t know for how long, but we’ve seen over the past year or two that these WB TV licenses are typically for 6-12 months.
What is Mike & Molly about?
Premiering on CBS in 2010, the multi-camera comedy ran until 2016 and served as the breakout television role for Melissa McCarthy, just as her film career was exploding with Bridesmaids.
The official synopsis reads:
“Mike, a Chicago police officer, meets fourth-grade teacher Molly one day when he speaks at an Overeaters Anonymous meeting and they fall in love. But having found each other, they must support each other in their quest to lose weight and deal with their crazy families.”
Who is in the cast?
The show features a lovable ensemble cast that sitcom fans will instantly recognize:
Billy Gardell (Bob Hearts Abishola) stars as Officer Mike Biggs.
Melissa McCarthy (The Little Mermaid, Spy) stars as Molly Flynn, a role that won her a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series in 2011.
Reno Wilson (Good Girls) plays Carl McMillan, Mike’s fast-talking partner and best friend.
Katy Mixon (American Housewife) plays Victoria, Molly’s dim-witted but kind-hearted sister.
Swoosie Kurtz plays Joyce, Molly’s wine-loving mother.
Nyambi Nyambi plays Samuel, the sarcastic waiter at the diner Mike and Carl frequent.
