I’m A Celeb‘s Vogue Williams has revealed she suffered a ‘meltdown’ while struggling with her mental health in the jungle.

The model, 40, became the third contestant voted out of the jungle on Monday and admitted begging bosses not to air the incident after she became incredibly emotional following her lack of sleep and asking to speak to the show’s psychiatrist.

Speaking on her podcast My Therapist Ghosted me she told co-host Joanne McNally: ‘I did have one incident, because you know I am crazy about my sleep, and if I don’t sleep I get anxious and I worry about my sleep’.

‘I started having an absolute meltdown, just lying there going [to myself] “Please sleep please sleep” and I had to go up to the bush telegraph and I started having a panic attack.’

She continued: ‘And I was going: “Please don’t show this because everyone will see how mental I am’” I couldn’t control it, I was having a complete panic attack’.

Vogue went on to praise the ‘lovely’ crew who managed to calm her down before she was able to speak with the show’s therapist Sandra the following day.

‘[Sandra] just completely [calmed me down] I was like “do you do therapy in London?” because she was so good’.

Her co-host and pal Joanne then went on to say how happy she was to her about the duty of care now shown on reality TV, saying that Vogue would have previously been left ‘flipping and flopping’ with nobody ‘giving a s***’ about her meltdown.

The pair then recalled Kinga Karolczak who appeared on Big Brother in 2005 and infamously used a wine bottle as a tool for masturbation in the communal garden, with nobody on the show stepping in to stop her.

Vogue quipped: ‘There are rules in the jungle and one of the rules would be, you can’t paw away at yourself, you can’t be under your covers having a go at yourself!’.

On Monday evening, Vogue’s Jungle journey officially came to an end as she became the third campmate to be voted out of camp, following on from Alex Scott and Eddie Kadi.

The Irish presenter is known for her bubbly personality and charm, yet arguably isn’t as big a name as her Made In Chelsea star husband Spencer Matthews, 37.

So when Vogue signed up for I’m A Celebrity, the public were keen to see how she’d get on, with bookmakers giving her decent odds to be crowned Queen Of The Jungle before she’d even set foot in camp.

There was also talk that her show appearance could finally lift the dark I’m A Celebcloud hanging over the Matthews household – with Vogue’s stint coming 10 years after Spencer was booted off the show for steroid use.

She said: 'I did have one incident, because you know I am crazy about my sleep, and if I don't sleep I get anxious and I worry about my sleep'

However, within days of entering the camp as a late arrival, Vogue’s popularity had panned, with Ladbrokes suddenly making her the least favourite to win, with odds of 200/1.

Viewers took to X/Twitter to share their delight that she was going – although it was noted that the results may have been different for the Dublin native if the vote was open in Ireland.

It was Vogue’s clunky comments and fallouts with her fellow campmates that seemed to land her out of public favour, however, PR guru and top showbiz agent Jonathan Shalit told Daily Mail that all isn’t lost for the presenter.

‘Vogue Williams is a hugely talented broadcaster with a natural charm that audiences instinctively warm to,’ Jonathan revealed.

‘The jungle is one of the toughest environments in television. People are exhausted, hungry, and emotional. It is very easy for one or two comments to land differently than intended.

‘But none of that takes away from the fact she handled herself with honesty, humour, and heart.

‘What viewers also saw is the strength of her partnership with Spencer. He has been her biggest supporter throughout, and together they’re one of the most compelling and relatable couples on British TV.

‘A short run in the jungle doesn’t dent Vogue’s trajectory at all. If anything, it reminds people why she’s so engaging: she’s real.

‘With the profile boost from I’m A Celeb and the continued success of her projects with Spencer, she will come out of this even stronger.’

While Vogue stays on in Oz, Spencer has become a three time Guinness World Record holder after completing his epic challenge of seven Ironman triathlons on seven continents in just 21 days.

He shared his achievement on Instagram on Thursday night after completing his final triathlon in the freezing temperatures and harsh terrain of Antarctica – after missing her jungle exit.

Spencer’s latest extreme challenge has seen him embark on a global mission to complete seven triathlons, each involving swimming, cycling and running, in London, Arizona, Cape Town, Perth, Dubai, Rio De Janeiro and Antarctica.

He shared on Instagram: ‘AFTER A 28 HOUR 51 MINUTE WAR WITH ANTARCTICA, I’M DELIGHTED TO ANNOUNCE THAT THE JOB IS DONE…. I DID IT, PROJECT SE7EN IS COMPLETE!!! WHAT A MAD MOMENT THIS IS!!’

‘I’m now a 3 x Guinness World Records holding athlete. The two new records are: Fastest 140.6-mile triathlon on Antarctica (28 hours 51 minutes 11 seconds) Fastest time to complete a 140.6-mile triathlon on seven continents (21 days 9 hours 18 minutes)’
