After three years of silence, VERZUZ — the viral hip-hop face-off series that once united millions of fans during the pandemic — is making its biggest comeback yet.
And this time, it’s personal: No Limit Records vs Cash Money Records, two powerhouse labels that built the sound of Southern rap, will go head-to-head in a historic showdown at ComplexCon Las Vegas.

According to TheGrio and ThatGrapeJuice, the battle will take place on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at the Las Vegas Convention Center, with the live broadcast beginning at 8:00 PM ET / 5:00 PM PT. The event will stream on Apple Music and Apple TV, with additional live coverage on Instagram Live (@verzuztv), YouTube, and Complex’s digital channels.

The Titans of the South

This isn’t just another rap face-off.
It’s a battle of two empires that shaped the very identity of hip-hop in the American South.

Representing No Limit Records is Master P, the self-made mogul who turned a small New Orleans label into a 1990s phenomenon. Under his leadership, No Limit launched the careers of Mystikal, Mia X, Silkk the Shocker, and the late Soulja Slim, creating a sound that blended military grit with street realism.

Across the battlefield stands Cash Money Records, founded by brothers Birdman and Slim Williams. From the late 1990s through the 2000s, their artists — Juvenile, B.G., Mannie Fresh, and a young Lil Wayne — redefined mainstream rap with swagger, bounce, and billion-dollar ambition.
The label’s reach later birthed Young Money, home to Drake and Nicki Minaj, cementing Cash Money as a dynasty.

Why This VERZUZ Matters

For years, fans have debated who truly ruled the South.
No Limit had the discipline, the hustler mentality, and the business genius of Master P.
Cash Money brought the flash, the innovation, and the crossover appeal that took New Orleans global.

Tonight’s VERZUZ isn’t about rivalry — it’s about legacy.
It’s about two Black-owned labels that changed the culture from the ground up, building success outside the traditional music industry gatekeepers.

Music critics are calling this the most significant VERZUZ yet — “a cultural reunion for the South,” one source told uDiscoverMusic. Both camps have hinted that their “soldiers” will be in attendance, and fans are already speculating surprise appearances from Lil Wayne, Master P, or even Mannie Fresh behind the decks.

At a time when hip-hop is celebrating its 50th anniversary, this battle is more than nostalgia — it’s a reminder of how far Southern rap has come.
