Max George has revealed he is back in hospital due to an ‘issue’ following major heart surgery, in a clip shared to Instagram on Friday.
The Wanted singer, 37, was fitted with a pacemaker in December 2024 after his mum Babs noticed he had ‘turned blue’ and insisted he should go to A&E.
He later had a second procedure to fix a misplaced wire and has kept his followers updated on his regular hospital visits.
But now he has revealed that he has had to return to hospital for a scan.
Posting on his Stories, the musician shared a clip waiting outside an X-ray area in a hospital.
He captioned the upload: ‘Another scan…’ and then followed it up with an update on his visit.

Walking through the corridors, he said: ‘So I’m just at the hospital in the building where I had all my heart surgeries done.
‘I can’t say it’s good to be back, because it’s not.
‘I’ve just had a scan done on my chest because I’ve had a bit of an issue with one of my lungs, apparently,’ he went on. ‘Should be fine.
‘It’s just a precaution, but yeah. Back in my old second home.’ He signed off with a thumbs-up and a good weekend wish to his followers.
His girlfriend, Maisie Smith, has recently revealed she has grown closer than ever to Ma,x almost a year on from his heart surgery.
The former EastEnders actress, 24, revealed in a new interview how this time last year, ‘no one knew what was going to happen’ after he underwent a life-saving operation.
11 months later, she has confirmed their bond is stronger than ever and that she fell in love with him all over again.
The couple recently starred together in Jeff Wayne’s Musical Version of The War Of The Worlds in March, playing husband and wife.

Last year, Max wrapped the American leg of The Wanted’s 2.0 Tour alongside his bandmate Siva Kaneswaran.
Speaking about how he is getting on following his health scare, Maisie told The Sun: ‘He still has hard days and better days, but he’s definitely getting stronger again and it’s nice to see him performing.’
She added: ‘So yeah, he’s doing well. No one knew what was going to happen this time last year, so it’s really nice to see him doing what he was born to do.’
Maisie said she went to watch her boyfriend perform in New York, which she described as ‘a nice feeling to see him do that after the year he’s had.’
