MAFS' Gia Fleur and Alan Wallace

Married At First Sight bride Gia Fleur and her new boyfriend Alan Wallace have officially taken their relationship to the next level by getting matching tattoos — and yes, that’s exactly what Gia and her MAFS husband Scott McCristal did during the experiment before their relationship crashed and burned.

While Gia and Scott commemorated their experience on the show’s 13th season by getting matching “13” tattoos on their ankles, Gia and Alan decided to get each other’s name inked in much more prominent spots. The mother-of-one posted a gallery of loved-up snaps to Instagram on Tuesday evening, including a photo of “Alan” tattooed on her left hand and “Gia” tattooed on his left wrist.

“Three months in secret, and forever in public to go,” Gia captioned the post.

The outspoken reality star also reposted the photo on her Instagram Story alongside the text: “We’re wild and I love that.”

Gia explains why she and Alan got matching tattoos

Gia told PEDESTRIAN.TV that she and Alan decided to get matching tattoos two months into their relationship as a sign of their commitment to one another. She explained that neither of them watched this year’s season of MAFS, but Alan had “heard a few things” and started asking questions about her relationship with Scott.

“He was being a little bit insecure about Scott and stuff, and I said, ‘Look, what do you need me to do to make you feel like I’m with you and you don’t need to worry?’,” she recalled.

“I was like, ‘I’d get your name tattooed tomorrow’, and he was like, ‘No, you wouldn’t’. I was like, ‘I would, I would do it tomorrow’, and he was like, ‘Bullsh*t, if you do it, I’d do it’. So literally the next day I went and got it done, sent him a photo and then he got it done.”

Gia said it was important for her to reassure Alan that their relationship was “real”, especially because MAFS can sometimes feel like “someone is there for clout”.

“Obviously, it’s a bit early to get engaged, but for me, obviously, I don’t mind getting a matching tattoo,” she remarked.

Now, before you go making assumptions that Gia and Alan are heading for splitsville because matching couple tattoos often end in a breakup, let me remind you of some celebrities who have defied the odds.

Tom Holland and Zendaya have each other’s initials tattooed on their ribcage, Justin and Hailey Bieber have matching peach tattoos, Beyoncé and Jay-Z have the roman numeral IV tattooed on their ring fingers to commemorate their wedding anniversary, and John Legend and Chrissy Teigen have tattoos dedicated to their kids.

Now, of course, there are just as many (if not more) celeb couples who got matching tats and called it quits — Ariana Grande and Pete DavidsonJoe Jonas and Sophie TurnerMiley Cyrus and Liam HemsworthMegan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly — but let’s hope Gia and Alan go the distance.
