Jimmy McMahan — a popular influencer and rapper known online as “Whyte Folkz” — died in a motorcycle accident on the evening of Jan. 19.

According to WREG, a CBS-affiliated news station based in Memphis, Tenn., a motorcycle was spotted at the scene of an accident at the intersection of Saratoga Road and Millington Road in Millington, a small city in the Memphis metropolitan area. The City of Millington confirmed to WREG that there was a sole victim, confirmed as McMahan by the internet personality’s manager.

McMahan, who maintained a following of over 120,000 on Instagram, was known online for his comedic videos, sharing content about his life in Memphis.

“Whitefolkz was more than a brother — he was a son, a friend, and a light to everyone who knew him,” read a GoFundMe page opened by his family members to raise money for his funeral costs. “His laughter, loyalty, and love will never be forgotten. He lived with passion and left a lasting impression on all our lives.”

In a post on Facebook, McMahan’s daughter-in-law Tonya remembered him for “all the amazing memories” they shared together.

“To know my brother in law was an honor!” she penned in the emotional tribute. “Never a dull moment, my stomach and ribs would hurt for days after spending a day with him! His heart was so big no matter who you were.”

McMahan seemingly last updated his social media accounts on Jan. 18, the day before the fatal accident, sharing a video to Instagram of him seemingly in the hospital.

In the comments of his pinned posts, fans of the creator shared tributes after news of his passing became public.

“Rest easy 🙏🏽” wrote one. “Rest in peace to the goat,” penned another.

Posted a third: “Rest up Gbody 🖤💙🙌🏾🕊️this don’t make no sense mane.”
