King Charles has savagely snubbed one key royal in a telling Mother’s Day post.

The King took to his official social media accounts to recognise the annual celebration with three poignant family images alongside the message: “Wishing Mothers everywhere, and those who might be missing their Mums today, a restful Mothering Sunday.”

The pictures included a picture of the late Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother and Camilla with her own mother, Rosalind Shand. But there was also a third picture with Elizabeth II, showing her with Charles and Princess Anne, as well as her corgi Sue, which was taken in Balmoral on April 29, 1953.

Countless comments on the King’s post were quick to point out that the account hadn’t shared a photo of Prince William, the heir to the throne, with his mother, the late Princess Diana. One royal fan wrote: “Diana should be remembered today, by all the royal family who should be forever grateful to her for birthing the heir to the throne.”

Another added: “Only 1 picture missing here: Princess Diana, mother of the future king!” William paid his own tribute to his late mother earlier today as he shared an emotional tribute to Diana with a moving post and unseen photo.
