The Canadian singer and songwriter recently revealed that her ex-partner, Elon Musk, has blocked her on social media. However, she insists that her focus remains on the three children she shares with the tech millionaire.

Grimes and Musk started seeing each other in 2018 and soon had three children together. After their split, they were embroiled in a lengthy custody battle for the kids.

An X user recently pointed out that Grimes is no longer following her former partner, Musk, on X. However, the “Genesis” singer quickly set the record straight, revealing that Musk was the one who followed her on X before blocking her.

She claimed that she was not interested in going back and forth with him on social media and noted that her priority lies in developing a good co-parenting relationship with him.

“For context, I’m just living my life. He followed me, then blocked me.  I’m not gna [gonna] be following and unfollowing.  My only priority is co-parenting, I am not interested in public dramatics.  This is so silly lol,” she wrote.

The duo welcomed their first child in May 2020 and two more kids in 2021 and 2022. Their relationship had its fair share of ups and downs as they were on and off for several years before finally calling it quits.

Since their separation, Grimes and Musk have butted heads over their children, failing to see eye to eye on several key parenting issues.

In March, the singer revealed that she had tirelessly pleaded with her ex-lover to stop parading their children on social media, but her pleas fell on deaf ears.

“I unfortunately do not control the internet and cannot wipe this from the internet. I have tried begging the public and my kids’ dad to keep them offline, and I’ve tried legal recourse,” she wrote, per The Blast.

Grimes acknowledged that the issue has caused her great distress because putting her children’s lives out there is of “grave concern” to her. As such, she has tried to come up with a solution, to no avail.

“It’s insane to me that there’s no way to deal with this. I would hope there was some law that would allow a parent to veto small children from living public lives, but I don’t even trust the law to help me now if I tried to invoke it [to be honest],” she added.

Grimes Initiated Her Breakup With Elon Musk

Grimes’ revelation came months after she set the record straight concerning her split from Musk when rumors suggested he had broken up with her.

As The Blast reported, the 37-year-old singer revealed that the Tesla founder didn’t dump her during a heated exchange with Azealia Banks on X. The latter accused Grimes of being dumped and cheated on.

However, Grimes responded to the tweet, writing, “Not trying to paint you as a villain. I didn’t ‘get dumped.’ I bounced.”

She also revealed that she was “in love,” adding that she has “no regrets.”

After Grimes set the record straight about her breakup with Musk, a clip surfaced on social media, showing the tech millionaire bonding with the popular singer Kanye West over his love life.

The Blast reported that the two briefly spoke about their love interests, with Musk asking Kanye West, “So are you and Kim like off and on or something? Or, I don’t know, it’s hard to tell.” However, the singer remained quiet.

“Claire and I, Grimes, we’re sort of… You know, in the same text stream. She’s like, ‘I love you! And then, like, you know, a day later, like, ‘I hate you,’” Musk further told Kanye West.

Grimes Was Diagnosed With ADHD And Autism

While Musk lamented over the rollercoaster nature of his relationship with Grimes, the singer was battling issues of her own. She shared a think piece on X, revealing that she was diagnosed with “ADHD/autism” and is “probably dyslexic.”

According to The Blast, Grimes noted that if she had been diagnosed as a child, it would likely have impacted her negatively.
