Tributes have flooded social media for Brisbane artist Velvet Pesu after she was found dead at a rural property south of the city.
The musician had a career spanning two decades and was a Heart Health Foundation director, providing music therapy and meal assistance to the homeless.
Her body was found at the home of a man she cared for, who was later arrested 600km away in NSW following an alleged high speed police chase.

Ms Pesu went missing about 7pm on Saturday after dropping a family member at a house party in The Gap, prompting family concern and a missing-person report about 1am Monday.
In a statement, Queensland Police confirmed officers conducted a welfare check at 2.30am at a property on Waterford Tamborine Rd at Buccan, where they found Ms Pesu’s body.
A 36-year-old man was arrested in Kempsey on the NSW Mid North Coast on Monday evening.
He faced court in NSW on Tuesday for traffic offences and was refused bail.
In a statement, Queensland Police revealed an arrest warrant had been issued for the NSW man.
“The man was today remanded in custody in NSW until 25 February for sentencing in relation to those traffic matters,” the statement read.
“Once the NSW court matters are finalised, Queensland Police will seek his extradition back to Queensland.
“The arrest warrant against the man is for the offence of murder, in relation to the death of the 46-year-old Ashgrove woman.
“Investigations remain ongoing.”
