CHICAGO — The husband of a missing special education teacher says his wife’s car has been found, but Chicago police are not offering any details, according to news reports.

Linda Brown, 53, was last seen leaving her Bronzeville home in the 4500 block of South Martin Luther King Drive on Saturday. Chicago police said she was headed to Wicker Park on the North Side for a standing appointment with an acupuncturist.

She was driving a blue 2021 Honda Civic with Illinois plates, CX57470. On Wednesday morning, the teacher’s husband, Antwon Brown, said the car was found in an unknown location.

Brown said his wife had already left their home Saturday when he woke up at 8:45 a.m. According to Brown, his wife had her purse, credit cards and car keys. Since she went missing Saturday, her husband said his wife’s phone is still ringing.

Family members told ABC 7 Chicago that the teacher is in constant touch with her husband and sister. To leave and not call anyone is unlike her, they said.

Linda Brown had been on medical leave for mental health issues, and was scheduled to return to Robert Healy Elementary School, where she teaches special education, next week.

She stands 5-foot-7, weighs 140 pounds, and has brown hair and brown eyes. At the time of her disappearance, she was reportedly wearing a black puffy jacket and shiny Ugg boots. She may be in need of medical attention. Linda is considered endangered.
