Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are facing a dilemma, according to royal biographer Tom Bower. Netflix bosses are reportedly “exhausted” by Harry and Meghan as they desperately scramble to keep their Hollywood dream alive. Six months after their £100m contract ran out, the streaming platform are reportedly fed up with the Sussexes, inside sources at Netflix have alleged to Variety.

Tom, who is set to release his book about the Sussexes titled Betrayal, addressed the couple’s endgame in a new interview on TalkTV. Speaking to host Mark Dolan on Sunday, the biographer claimed they are now at an “unfortunate crossroads” before making a marriage admission.

Mark suggested Tom had been “unforgiving” in his portrayal of the Sussexes in his latest book, which their representatives accused its author of “deranged conspiracy and melodrama”.

The TV host questioned: “Are Meghan’s ambitions at odds with what Harry wants?”

“Yes,” Tom replied. “Harry is now the fifth in line in succession and you’re a member of the royal family, your ambition isn’t clearly material.”

He went on: “He had all the money he needed. He had all the fame he needed. He had all the applause he needed.”

Tom claimed Meghan sought fame and international recognition but suggested she now faces an issue.

He alleged: “The problem is she can’t earn any money anymore – and now finds herself at an unfortunate crossroads where she can’t raise money by way of work anymore, other than this trip to Australia and needs to find a new way for the rest of her life.”

Tom replied: “Ish…I’d say half and half. He likes to be able to be in both California and have great status in Britain.

The lack of any status in Britain and diminishing status in California means, I think on the whole, he’s pretty frustrated.”

Addressing their relationship, Tom added, “In my view, the marriage is ok. I think that Harry always needed and loved Meghan. It was a marriage made in heaven for him.”
