Kate Middleton‘s mom and sister had a girls’ day out while she was busy with royal work just a few miles away.

On July 6, the Princess of Wales’ mother, Carole Middleton, and sister, Pippa Middleton, stepped out to attend the Wimbledon Tennis Championships together.

Carole, 71, and Pippa, 42, seemed to be in good spirits as they appeared at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in London, attending on the day eight of the Grand Slam tournament.

The mother-daughter duo even matched in white dresses — a crisp white dress with blue blazer for Carole and rose-printed frock for Pippa.

Princess Kate’s mom and sister took a seat in the Royal Box, which isn’t exclusively reserved for royalty, and chatted with tennis legend Roger Federer, whom Kate has teamed up with before to promote Wimbledon.

The Princess of Wales is an avid tennis player, the patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club and a frequent fixture in the stands at Wimbledon each summer. Last week, Princess Kate made her debut at the 2026 tournament and watched the competition on Thursday, July 2.

Her early-round appearance there marked a personal milestone, as Kate had only attended Wimbledon’s finals in 2024 and 2025 — the years in which she announced that she was undergoing treatment for cancer and in remission.

Carole and Pippa’s girls’ day at Wimbledon came as Kate stepped out just seven miles away for royal duty elsewhere in London. On Monday, the Princess of Wales, 44, paid a visit to Evelina London Children’s Hospital to see the latest innovations at the children’s medical center she backs as patron.

Princess Kate heard about how Evelina is expanding to meet increased need, explained to a young boy that she is not the Queen’s daughter and met with officials working on a project with partners at the hospital where she previously received cancer treatment.

The Princess of Wales heard about how the future Children’s Cancer Principal Treatment Centre at Evelina London will bring in staff from The Royal Marsden Hospital, where she was previously treated during her cancer journey.

Kate’s mom Carole and brother James Middleton were among the family members who supported her at the end of the Three Peaks Challenge on June 29, as she completed the challenge of scaling three of the U.K.’s tallest summits in under 24 hours.

The sporty royal embraced the challenge to shine a light on life beyond cancer and fundraise for the Royal Marsden, and James, 39, was with her for some of the hike.

Princess Kate, Prince William and their children live near her parents, Carole and Michael Middleton, and siblings, Pippa and James, in Windsor, and the couple leaned on them while Kate was receiving cancer treatment.

“This is about supporting her and her feeling supported. It is a joint effort. She doesn’t feel isolated at all,” a longtime family friend exclusively told PEOPLE at the time.

“The nuclear family that they have created so well is an immense support not only to him but to Catherine too,” they added about the private world that William and Kate have created at home.

Pippa was also by her sister’s side during Kate’s emotional appearance at Wimbledon in 2024, one of the royal’s first public appearances after she announced that she was receiving cancer treatment.
