South Australian police have revealed a new focus as they resume searching for a missing mother last seen five months ago.

Trisha Graf was reported missing on December 12, having visited a remote opal mining town in South Australia’s outback.

Ms Graf, 41, was last seen leaving Andamooka, 600km north of Adelaide, having visited the town with a friend the evening before.

Later that day, at about noon, her partner and friend were searching for her and located her car, a Ford Territory, perched on a dirt mound near the Blue Dam.

Her disappearance has sparked widespread search operations of the area, with detectives already having combed through mine shafts, septic tanks and the wider region.

However, up until now, there have been limited clues about here whereabouts.

This week, investigators have returned to the area as they continue to try to solve the mystery of her disappearance.

A force spokesman has now revealed the next focus of the search, which resumed earlier this week.

In a statement, an SA Police spokesman said: “Major Crime Investigation Branch, STAR Group and Far North officers will search an area on the western fringe of Andamooka for evidence over the next few days.

“Police have previously conducted searches at a residential address and an area on the eastern outskirts of Andamooka as part of the ongoing investigation, but no evidence was located.”

At 12.19am, she was at the Roxby Downs Hotel and left a short while later with a friend.

Having left the hotel, Ms Graf’s vehicle collided with a kangaroo, a short distance from the Andamooka township.

She continued her journey and visited a home in the northwestern area of the town before leaving just before 2am.

She was last seen driving along Dunstan Drive.
