Ruby Wax‘s husband has issued a stern warning to her I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! campmates after a string of rows about her becoming camp leader.
Ed Bye took to This Morning via video link to open up on watching the comedian on screen as the ITV reality competition gears up for its finale this weekend.
Ed, 70, admitted he’s been tuning in every night to watch Ruby, 72, who over the weekend was put in charge of her co-stars as camp leader.
The film producer had some words of warning for the campmates over the decision, admitting he felt it was a ‘huge mistake’ she’s been handed the power.
Ruby was voted in as camp leader by her fellow celebrities, and went on to scream orders at them, saying: ‘Things are about to change. No more Mrs Nice Guy!’
Speaking to ITV hosts Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard, Ed admitted: ‘I think it was a huge mistake to give her the power, she will fight hard to keep it.’

‘Any thought of a tannoy at our home has been strictly banned. Without a doubt, she’s not getting a tannoy!’
He went on to issue another stark warning to I’m A Celebrity star Kiosk Kev, who is in charge of giving out the goodies after the Dingo Dollar Challenge.
Kev, whose real name is Mark Herlaar, was seen giving Ruby a wink as she approached the kiosk alongside Lisa Riley in an episode last week.
Joking that she had ‘forgot’ about her husband during the cheeky exchange, Ruby blew a kiss towards Kev.
Ed joked: ‘Given an opportunity I would go and have a word with Kiosk Kev about all of this but the fact he doesn’t say anything would make it rather pointless…’
The film maker also admitted he felt that while audiences at home were seeing much more of the ‘real’ Ruby away from her on-screen ‘persona’, she still had more to give.
Ed hinted that Ruby had still been ‘performing’ for the cameras on the ITV show, even if she had been opening up more to her campmates.
He concluded: ‘What you’re seeing now is closer to the real Ruby, interestingly even in that environment rather than on her other television programmes where she’s more of a persona.

The comedian, 72, replaced EastEnders Shona McGarty after she was booted out for breaking contraband rules and using smuggled butter in the cooking
‘We’re seeing, this is quite close to what she’s actually like… she has an instinct to perform, so even in the throws of the Jungle, I can sort of see she’s sometimes performing.
‘Particularly with that damned tannoy!’
It comes after I’m A Celeb fans claimed Ruby Wax had let the power ‘go to her head’ after she was became the camp’s new leader on Sunday.
Ruby replaced EastEnders Shona McGarty after she was booted out for breaking contraband rules and using smuggled butter in the cooking.
Despite Ruby complaining about the soap star taking her role too seriously and making herself a crown from jungle woodland, it didn’t take long for her to then do exactly the same.
Viewers declared the the funny woman ‘unbearable’ after she constructed herself a dramatic veil and strutted around camp.
Taking to X they said: ‘Ruby was unbearable now they’ve made her camp leader and she’s worse than unbearable I can’t stand her’: ‘Ruby is so much worse than Shona with letting her being leader and it going to her head’.
‘So, Ruby has a go at Shona for her making an outfit when she was a leader and how she thought the power was going to her head, and now she’s doing the same???’: ‘Ok Ruby as camp leader was an absolutely horrific choice’.

Kiosk Kev was seen giving Ruby Wax a wink in an earlier episode of the ITV series
On Tuesday night, rattled Ruby pounced on a sleeping Kelly Brook and screamed at her to cook some beans as her hunger pushed her over the edge.
Ruby’s new role has meant that she has been able to sleep in the luxurious tree house, and during the episode, while she was sitting there, she started to get very hangry.
On Tuesday night, while sitting alongside Emmerdale’s Lisa Riley, 49, and Twitch streamer Ginge, 24, she used the tannoy to ask the camp: ‘Are the beans ready?
‘Attention. Are the beans ready? Why is everybody sleeping? Get up!’
Tom Read Wilson replied: ‘Darling, they’re on. But they weren’t soaked until late this morning!’
An unimpressed Ruby told him: ‘They should be ready by now. Less chatting, more cooking!’
Ruby soon realised that there was one person in camp that wasn’t pulling their weight to get the food ready – Kelly.
She noticed that she was snoozing away and brutally shouted at her to wake up. ‘Kelly! Cook some beans, somebody!’ Ruby shouted.
Later in the episode fans were left ‘devastated’ after Eddie Kadi become the second contestant to be voted out of the jungle.
The funnyman, 42, found himself in the bottom two alongside model Vogue Williams, before hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly announced it was he who had received the fewest votes and would be leaving camp.
The latest celebrity to leave the competition was Vogue Williams on Monday night.
I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! airs nightly at 9pm on ITV1, STV, ITVX & STV Player
