Example and Daisy Cox are engaged!

The musician, 43, whose real name is Elliot Gleave, began dating art advisor Daisy in 2023, and the couple confirmed the birth of their first child earlier this year.

Taking to Instagram on Boxing Day, Example shared a slew of sweet engagement snaps, announcing the happy news to his fans, with pal Calvin Harris among the first to send congratulatory messages.

Beaming alongside his fiancée Daisy as she showed off her sparkling diamond ring, he captioned the post: ‘Hid a diamond inside a cracker.

‘Got the best reaction ever from another absolute cracker… Thought this particular Christmas Day would be the most magical one ever and it was… later that day, Lukey decided he wanted to have a bit of a fever and be sick everywhere, made it all about him…

‘We don’t blame him… When you see people this in love it can make you (sick emoji).  Merry Xmas everybody. Elliot & Daisy xx’

It comes almost one year after Example revealed that his partner Daisy had given birth to their ‘absolutely perfect’ first child together, a baby boy, on New Year’s Day.

Sharing the news with followers, the musician – who relocated to Australia from his native London more than a decade ago – confirmed Daisy had gone into labour a month ahead of her estimated due date.

He wrote: ‘Lucas Winter Cox Gleave. Aka Lukey Baby… aka Gorge Lucas. 01.01.25.

Example announced his relationship with Daisy, who bears a striking resemblance to his ex-wife Erin McNaught, in March 2023.

Five months earlier, the musician revealed his nine year marriage to Erin – an Australian actress – was over, with the former couple focused on raising their two sons, Evander, ten, and Ennio, 7.

Addressing the separation in a joint statement, they wrote: ‘At the start of the UK summer we decided to separate. We have had an amazing 11 years together, but just a few too many adventures.

‘Obviously we spent a lot of time behind the scenes trying to figure things out, but we came to the realisation that perhaps our time as a couple had just come to a natural end.

‘So we have decided to go our separate ways whilst there is still an abundance of love and respect for one another.

‘We have been Co-parenting happily and effectively now for almost half a year and our boys are surrounded with love.’

The pair admitted that Example’s full schedule as a touring artist had resulted in Erin flying to London with their children so he wouldn’t spend months on the road without seeing them – despite having already ended their marriage.

They added: ‘We had an amazing family holiday, and look forward to more in the future. We have had incredible support from our closest friends and family, who are proud of how are handling this separation.

‘We have turned off commenting to protect ourselves, our children and closest friends and family. Please do not feel the need to text or DM us whoever you are.

‘We would appreciate the space right now and don’t want to be distracted by conversations over texts, social media or FaceTime when we need to devote so much time our own well-being and most importantly, that of our children.

‘If you see us out and about together it’s still the same old Elliot & Erin.

‘Though we spend a lot of our time apart we still enjoy time together climbing, jogging, cinema, chasing kids around the park or getting coffee. Expect to see us out and about together with our children often.

‘This is as amicable as it gets. Nobody is blaming anyone in all this. We are very happy that this is the right decision and hope that others can respect this too. Everything is as it should be.’
