A Sydney rapper wanted over a gangland murder has surfaced in Bali, releasing a music video that openly mocks police while on the run.
The 31-year-old, known as Harley Johan, has been wanted since September last year, when NSW Police issued a warrant for his arrest in connection with the fatal shooting of Comanchero associate Niddal Acherkouk in Surry Hills.
The clip begins with a 9News bulletin that aired after the arrest warrant was announced, showing presenter Peter Overton quoting police urging Johan to return to Australia and “face the music.”
In the video, Johan raps: “I did two drills back to back last week I’m f***ing balling” and “Drop a body… triple zero they gon’ call.”A “drill” is slang for a violent act, often a shooting or retaliation against rivals.
“F*** the law”.
“Mirror, mirror on the wall. Who’s the greatest? Watch them fall,” he raps in another verse.
“Damn. Now your parents crying about you dying.
“Now they have to buy a casket and the suit you lie in.
“Damn, guess they never got that silver lining.”

Throughout the clip, Johan is seen brandishing guns, holding one to his head, and acting out scenes showing car theft and number plate swapping.
Acherkouk, linked to the Comanchero outlaw motorcycle gang, was gunned down on November 22, 2024, on Cleveland Street, Surry Hills.
The 33-year-old had only recently returned to Australia after evading an attempted kidnapping in 2023, believing tensions had eased.
He dined that night with friends at Erciyes, a Turkish restaurant, before crossing the road to his parked Ford Ranger at a nearby BP service station.
CCTV footage shows two men ambushing him, firing multiple rounds into the vehicle. Acherkouk fled toward Cleveland Street but collapsed and died in the middle of the road.
The shooters escaped in a stolen Porsche SUV which was later found torched in Kensington.
In September, police alleged Johan was connected to the killing, though his precise role remains unclear. Det-Supt Matthew Russell said the fugitive left Australia about six weeks after the shooting.
“We know that he left Sydney in January of this year for Kuala Lumpur and we’re working hard to establish his whereabouts,” he said.
NSW Police say they are aware of the video and as the investigation is ongoing, it would be inappropriate to comment.
